Oregon Ducks Head Coach Dan Lanning on Oregon's Win Over Maryland
Transcript
00:00with a victory that being said I feel like we can play a whole lot better.
00:07I think everyone probably saw moments of that.
00:10But you can't go through that game without recognizing having the all time
00:14touchdown leader in the NCAA with Dylan Gabriel and
00:17what he was able to accomplish there.
00:19He'll be the first one to tell you he doesn't care.
00:21But he should cuz that's a really special moment for him.
00:23So I'm glad that we got to celebrate that tonight with him.
00:27Some really advantageous moments on defense, creating takeaways.
00:30Some back against the wall moments too where we took some risk and
00:35guys took advantage of it like Jordan Burch's run there on the fake punt.
00:38So that being said, we can open it up.
00:40Start here on the left, Ryan.
00:43Dan, just your impression of the game that Jordan had, obviously,
00:46opening it up with the fumble forced and then getting the run on the fake punt.
00:51And any update, obviously, on his health?
00:53Yeah, I think he's fine, just tweaked his ankle a little bit.
00:55But I'll have to watch the film.
00:57But obviously, Jordan has some game changing plays in this game.
01:00Right, Zach?
01:02Both penalties for 95 yards after that have been so
01:04improved this year from the start of the year.
01:06What do you think happened tonight?
01:07Yeah, it's poor performance for us.
01:11We gotta go back and look at the film and figure out how we can eliminate that.
01:13But we didn't play clean.
01:14So I don't know if we were distracted or we weren't focused.
01:16I felt like our guys had good energy and enthusiasm.
01:19But we put ourselves in some bad spots on defense,
01:21giving them opportunities for first downs.
01:23And hurt ourselves with some pre-snap penalties on offense.
01:26So it's definitely something for us to attack and clean up.
01:28All right, Eric.
01:31Early thoughts on just how the offensive line.
