00:00Some residents in the town of Mualboal, in the province of Cebu,
00:05were happy to see a lot of fish swimming in their lake.
00:09But what is the reason why the sandamakmak of Sardinas is floating?
00:15That's what Jesse Atienza of PTV Cebu reported.
00:23People are fishing nets in their lakes.
00:27While the Sardinas are jumping in the water.
00:34With their own efforts, they were able to catch a lot of fish.
00:38Why did the fish swim in the lake of the town of Mualboal?
00:42And is it bad for the economy?
00:45There are many factors.
00:47One of them is the predator-prey relationship.
00:55Because the Sardinas come in schools.
00:59They are not solitary in schools anymore.
01:02So, they are already attached to the predators,
01:05whether they are male or female.
01:10Some schools, they break into different groups.
01:14The big ones are here in Mabau.
01:17The increase of BFAR is possible because of the sudden change in the temperature of the sea water.
01:23It should not be left to chance.
01:25It should be enjoyed by the coastal communities.
01:29It should be enjoyed.
01:32At least the community is aware that the population of the fish,
01:38not only in Tanyun Strait, but also in Katangana.
01:42They should be happy about it.
01:45At least they should be aware of the conservation of the fish population.
01:52So, the acceptance of implemented flow season,
01:58people should be open-minded.
02:01This is the effect of fisheries management.
02:06For now, there are still people waiting in the lake of the town of Mualboal.
02:10They are waiting for the addition of fish.
02:13It is possible that they will be able to get free fish for the blessing of Mother Nature.
02:18From PTV Sabu, Jesse Atienza for Pambansang TV in Bagong, Philippines.
