00:00Let's return to the main topic of the aftermath of the U.S. elections and the electoral result
00:14giving the victory to Donald Trump.
00:17We contact Jorge Storso, our special envoy in Washington, for everything that is happening
00:22over there.
00:23Let's listen.
00:24It has been, most definitely has been a historic victory, the one of Donald Trump.
00:32He is the first president of being reelected after having left the White House in over
00:39a century.
00:41Also there is a very important victory for the Republican Party because they already
00:49got the majority in the Senate and they expect to get the same thing in the House of Representatives,
00:55which makes much easier for President Trump to push for his political program.
01:02On the other hand, we expect throughout the day the rival, we're talking about Kamala
01:08Harris, to give a speech to the nation and most definitely we're going to see what
01:15she has to say about the results.
01:18We are seeing already that in terms of the economic impact that is having, already the
01:26markets are really soaring in terms of the expectation now that they know that Donald
01:33Trump is going to take over the presidency of the United States of the month of January.
01:42There is a clear message that the suffering of the American people regarding the inflation
01:49and their perception about the migration as a threat, as a negative presence in the U.S.,
01:57has made Donald Trump victorious in this case.
02:03In the case of Kamala Harris, their performance was not really as good as the one of Trump
02:10because most definitely for many people, they have been perceived as a continuation
02:16of Biden's policy.
02:20We go back to you now.
02:23Thank you Jorge for the latest information.
02:25We'll stay in touch in upcoming news brief.
