00:28The southern state's home to 11 million people, half a million live in the capital, Atlanta.
00:38It's also home to global institutions like CNN, UPS, and Coca-Cola.

00:59Georgia is the peach state, but it also produces a whole bunch of other stuff, beginning with pea.
01:05Peanuts, pecans, and poultry, though here they call them broilers.
01:10The state also grows a lot of cotton. It's the nation's second biggest producer of the crop.
01:22It was here that the cotton gin was invented in 1793, a machine to separate the fibers from the seeds.
01:30The cotton gin transformed agriculture in the south and fueled the slave trade.
01:36Today, one-third of Georgians are African-American.
01:40In recent decades, Georgia backed the Republican presidential candidate, including Donald Trump, in 2016.
01:48But in 2020, Joe Biden won.

01:54The U.S. has more hope with Kamala.
01:58Cost of living is definitely a big concern. It's a huge concern.

02:13The divisiveness is what's most important to me, which I think is happening on both sides, left and right.

02:23Atlanta was the last U.S. city to host the Summer Olympic Games back in 1996.
02:30Los Angeles will be the next in 2028.
02:34But you won't have to wait that long for an exciting political race.
02:39Biden took Georgia by fewer than 12,000 votes four years ago.
02:44And polls indicate another close contest this year for the state's 16 electoral college votes.
