00:00So, Michael, looking at Manchester City and, you know, their remarkable streak has come to an end, especially, you know, after the EFL loss away at Spurs in the week and they lose to Bournemouth, it's back-to-back defeats in all competitions.
00:14We mentioned that incredible streak, you know, an amazing club record and for Pep Guardiola himself as well.
00:20When does this leave Manchester City, you know, Bournemouth away from home?
00:24You know, they have beaten Arsenal at Bournemouth as well this season.
00:27So, maybe you look at that and think it's not quite like that.
00:31But Man City are Man City, you know, they don't really go many places and they're not really satisfied anywhere with the loss.
00:37So, how does this sort of look?
00:39Obviously, in the week Pep said they had 13 fit players.
00:43It was a real issue, a real headline around that.
00:46So, where does this leave Manchester City?
00:49Yeah, he had more than 13 in the end.
00:51He's funny.
00:52I mean, he'd said in the last week that De Bruyne, Doku and Kyle Walker wouldn't be back until after the international break.
00:59And all three were back, at least on the bench, at the weekend.
01:02Two of the three played.
01:03So, yeah, that was a fun little surprise, I suppose, pre-match.
01:07And then he confirmed that Diaz and John Stones are our two players we thought were fit.
01:10So, yeah, always a bit of a mystery with Guardiola with these sorts of things.
01:14But yeah, listen, against Bournemouth, they were turnly beaten.
01:18I was there.
01:19I made the long trip down from the north.
01:22And I thought Bournemouth were excellent.
01:24Absolutely superb.
01:25Real variety in their play.
01:27They played plenty of long balls.
01:29I say long balls.
01:30That makes it sound like, you know, you stick a big man up front and you just chunk long balls.
01:35And it wasn't like that.
01:36It was targeted, direct play into the wingers who then launched some quick transitions.
01:40City struggles with transitions this season on a number of occasions.
01:45And I thought as well that Bournemouth as well at times got it down and played some really nice football.
01:49And City, they really lacked incision.
01:51They really lacked penetration.
01:53They didn't get a shot off on target until the 80th minute.
01:56That sums up City's performance, really.
01:58Look, they are the walking wounded a little bit at the moment.
02:01They have so many injuries and there's so many players who actually just had to play through the pain barrier a little bit
02:05and were struggling with knocks and niggles and managed to just get on with it.
02:08Kyle Walker being the best example.
02:10Guardiola said that he hasn't trained in 18 days.
02:13I think it was, or he's barely trained.
02:15Has only had five or six training sessions this season.
02:17He said that he's just struggling so much.
02:20You know, he's coming back late from the Euros and the schedule as well.
02:24It's just not really giving him the opportunity.
02:26So I think that underlines where City are at.
02:28I think the concern will be that, you know, they can have a little dip and they tend to end the season so strongly.
02:33If they have a little bit of a dip now, that's okay.
02:36But it can't go on too long.
02:38And I think there will be concern that in general, they haven't played particularly well this season,
02:43albeit they are, you know, just two points off top at the moment.
02:46And it does, as you started the video by saying, brings their long unbeaten run to an end.
02:5232 games in the Premier League, a club record.
02:54I think it was the fourth longest streak in Premier League history.
02:57And I was mapping out when they could have got to 50 and set the new record.
03:01So they came quite a way short of that in the end.
03:04But look, I don't think there's any massive concern for City.
03:07I've been saying this for a while now.
03:09One defeat in 10 is certainly not a huge reason for concern.
03:14They're two points off top.
03:15But I think they will want to start improving these performances a little bit.
