00:00The vibrant city of Baku, Azerbaijan has become the backdrop for an exciting new chapter in
00:07regional cinema with the launch of the Cinema Breeze event.
00:21Organized by the Ministry of Culture, the event underscores the country's growing influence
00:25as a key player in global filmmaking, combining stunning landscapes, a wealth of talent and
00:31expanding production infrastructure.
00:38Home Arcade is a new cinema destination that is aiming to match the cinema players from
00:44the region that are very interested for the new co-productive projects that are wanting
00:50to promote their services, human resources, their locations for the foreign companies
00:57that are very interested to the new business opportunities in this region.
01:04Azerbaijan aims to establish itself as a global cinema hub by encouraging collaboration between
01:09local and international filmmakers, driving economic growth and fostering creative opportunities.
01:18There are many advantages to shooting in Azerbaijan, but I would say that the most
01:22unique point is the climate.
01:24From north to south and east to west, it's only 500 kilometers, so you can start shooting
01:29in the morning with the sunrise at the sea, and towards the end of the day you can shoot
01:33the sunset in the beautiful snowy mountains.
01:36Usually a foreign production company contacts us long before they decide to come here.
01:40We're in touch with them about their script, about all of their production needs, we provide
01:44them with location scouting, talent, crew, equipment, everything they could possibly
01:50need when they come here.
01:53With infrastructure investments and support from the Ministry of Culture, Azerbaijan is
01:58getting ready to welcome more international film productions, something that could significantly
02:03boost tourism and cultural exchange.
02:06Beyond the technical aspects, these initiatives are designed to place Azerbaijan on the cultural
02:11map as a diverse and dynamic filming location, in a bid to further enrich its global cultural
02:17footprint.
02:18I'm from India, I'm very happy to be here at Baku Cinema Breeze, it's a wonderful festival
02:24and wonderful experience.
02:26This is my second or third time in Baku, but I'm seeing it in a completely different light
02:29this time.
02:30I think it's a great initiative by the government, where you are brought in all the different
02:34festivals together under one umbrella.
02:36I believe this is the first year, this is a great start, but it's going to become a
02:39big event that the world is going to look out for in the years to come.
02:44The growing number of foreign filmmakers choosing Azerbaijan as a destination highlights the
02:49country's appeal, not only for its diverse landscapes, but also for its industry expertise
02:55and logistical ease.
