00:00Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim has ordered Kazanah Nasional Berhad to conduct an internal audit

00:07regarding the RM43.9 million in investment losses the company and Permodalan Nasional

00:13Berhad suffered with fashion valet Sindram Berhad.

00:17In a post on X, Anwar said this instruction aligns with his previous directive for a national

00:23audit of 2,000 government-linked companies to ensure all companies fulfill their responsibilities

00:28and functions.

00:29Earlier, Anwar said he will not interfere with the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission's

00:35investigation into Kazanah.

00:38Anwar said the investigations must be done fairly regardless of rank and position or

00:42whether the companies involved are privately owned or not.

00:46MACC had started an investigation into the RM43.9 million loss by Kazanah and PMB after

00:53the Finance Ministry said the two companies obtained RM3.1 million from selling their

00:58shares in the e-commerce fashion platform to NXBT partners last year.

01:04The two companies had invested RM47 million, RM27 million and RM20 million respectively

01:11for a minority stake in fashion valet in 2018.
