Wolverine finds an unbreakable metal better than adamantium

There was a time when adamantium was considered the most powerful metal in the Marvel Universe. However, in the last decade vibranium has gained more currency and mysterium has been around for a few years, both challenging the popularity of the element that coats Wolverine's claws and skeleton. And now, another new substance promises to raise more questions about this issue.

The X-Men are currently in the early stages of their new era, From the Ashes, introducing many twists to recent Marvel history, and that includes Wolverine facing off against a new clawed villain. And worse: it is precisely this figure that brings a dark response to adamantium.

Uncanny X-Men #3, recently released, the team led by Rogue tries to train four young mutants who are being hunted by a mysterious enemy. When Wolverine leaves the group, he is approached by the stalker, the monster Sarah Gaunt, also known as the Witch.

Surprisingly, the Witch is full of resources to nullify Wolverine, with the ability to “hide” from Logan's enhanced senses and sets of nails coated with a new metal called "Dark Steel". The element, of mystical origin, is made of "molten blades of assassins" and surpasses the hero's adamantium claws, because, in addition to being equally unbreakable, it has the ability to change shape.

As stated above, Marvel has been shaking up the rules that make adamantium so special. In addition to vibranium with variations and more properties, we have already been introduced to mysterium and golden adamantium. Now, another metal, with magical properties, overcomes Wolverine's claws.

Write in the comments "WOLVERINE" and I'll answer a curiosity about the character for you.
