00:00We are delighted to be here with Jill Upford and the team from Murrumbidgee
00:05local health district as well as my deputy secretary Luke Sloan, the team from health
00:10infrastructure to see the works progressing on what will be a fantastic quarter of a billion
00:17dollar investment into health facilities here at Griffith. Absolutely needed, essential. If you
00:23have a look at the old hospital that we'll go and have a look at soon it is vastly different
00:28to this new facility. As quickly as possible one of the biggest challenges we face right now in
00:33New South Wales hospitals is the number of aged care people stuck in our facilities. We have at
00:39the moment the equivalent of two Prince of Wales hospitals of older people and people needing
00:44access to NDIS support essentially stuck in our hospitals and not able to move. We've recently
00:51reached a deal with the HSU and obviously we remain in discussion. As late as yesterday I
00:57was in discussion with the nurses and midwives association around their bargaining and around
01:03their award. We haven't got to a landing on that yet, we haven't got to a landing and I'll be
01:07clear about that but we are working closely with the association. We will continue to have those
01:13dialogues and those discussions over the next days and weeks.
