00:00Women are a fragile segment of the population from the point of view of financial education.
00:10We measure it in our Edufin Index and this aspect has a strong impact,
00:17a strong impact in terms of school orientation.
00:21In Italy, women have much better school results than their male counterparts,
00:31but despite this, they have a lower orientation, for example, to STEM disciplines, as we know.
00:37They are more focused on humanistic disciplines, not scientific or economic.
00:42Then, in the world of work, once again, there is a lower female employment rate,
00:47there is a pay gap, so financial education is a root that grows over time.
00:54And, in the end, finance remains a world with a strong male imprint at the top of Italian banks,
01:05but this is also true at the European level.
01:08The vast majority of the heads of insurance companies are men,
01:14but we believe there is room for a different vision, for a female finance.
01:20We have measured it, there is a great appreciation from the savers,
01:27both men and women, of the consultancy offered by women professionals.
01:34So we can talk about female finance, and we, with our project,
01:38women who speak to women about money,
01:41we offer an insight into how a female financial role can be interpreted,
01:47because in our organization we have about 5,000 women financial and insurance consultants,
01:56who can then transmit information and training to our women citizens,
02:05and we do it, I repeat, on the territory.
02:08We have organized, in recent years, more than 6,000 meetings on Italian territory,
02:12involving 350,000 people,
02:15so we spend a lot of passion and determination on this aspect,
02:24because we believe that those who do insurance, a social role,
02:29and therefore must contribute to an area as important as financial education,
02:35which has a decisive impact on development, well-being and social equity.
