00:00To bring new jobs to Britain and to drive growth across our country, we are delivering
00:07our mission to make Britain a clean energy superpower, led by my right hon. Friend the
00:13Energy Secretary. Earlier this month, we announced a significant multi-year investment between
00:20Government and business into carbon capture and storage, creating 4,000 jobs across Merseyside
00:28and Teesside. Today, I am providing funding for 11 new green hydrogen projects across
00:35England, Scotland and Wales. They will be amongst the first commercial-scale projects
00:46anywhere in the world, including in Bridgend, East Renfrewshire and Barrow-in-Furness. We
00:54are kick-starting the warm homes plan by confirming an initial ┬г3.4 billion over the next three
01:00years to transform 350,000 homes, including a quarter of a million low-income and social
01:08homes. We will establish GB Energy, providing funding next year to set up GB Energy at its
01:19new home in Aberdeen.
