00:00I'm Rebecca Lurie-Gray, I'm the Visitor Experience Manager here at Chichester Cathedral
00:04and behind us we have Luke Jerram's Mars which has been with us since the 19th of October and
00:10is with us until the 10th of November. Following on from our showing of Luke Jerram's Moon in 2021
00:17and Peter Walker's Peace Doves with us last year, we like a large-scale art installation
00:23in the nave and we knew that Luke Jerram had had Mars and we really wanted to connect our
00:30programme for this October and November to the anniversary of Gustav Holst who is interred in
00:36our north transept so it is Gustav Holst's 150th anniversary of his birth. The reception has been
00:43incredible definitely, we've had a number of evening visits so the cathedral's open in the
00:48evening you know lit moodily, Mars is spinning and it's beautifully orange behind us, the response
00:55has been incredible. Mostly the phrase that I've been hearing the most has just been wow
00:59so people come through the west door there's this enormous thing in the nave and it's yeah
01:03an absolute wow reaction, lots of selfies.
