The story follows Master Maoshan Hao, who opens a shop with his disciples Qiusheng and Wencai in Qinglong Town, where they also deal with supernatural creatures. Wencai, eager to marry the daughter of a wealthy family, asks his senior brother for help. Qiusheng takes a risky gamble, seeking the legendary Yellow Demon for financial aid. The two—one human and one demon—start off as foes but develop feelings for each other. Meanwhile, Qinglong Town's security captain, Hu Biao, insists on showcasing an ancient and deadly evil artifact at the World Expo despite Maoshan Hao’s warnings, resulting in chaos as the creature wreaks havoc on the police station. Maoshan Hao rushes in to contain it but accidentally lets the creature escape, leading to a bloodbath at the Expo. In the final showdown, Maoshan Hao and his disciples are outmatched, until the Yellow Demon appears, sacrificing herself to destroy the artifact and saving the people of Qinglong Town.
