The film mainly follows the story of a young girl named Jiang Han (played by Chen Duling), who unexpectedly falls into a popular holographic game called Dreams and Souls, where many young players gather. To her surprise, she discovers that her father (played by Tong Dawei) is the game’s designer. However, things are far from simple, as the mysterious world of the game hides an earth-shattering secret that seems to be connected to a mass disappearance case from 15 years ago. To uncover the truth, she teams up with the cool and handsome Nanji (played by Song Weilong) and the warm-hearted programmer Shouji (played by Zhang Youhao), forming an adventurous squad of young people who embark on a surreal journey.
