Jamie Carragher took a step away from his punditry role to showcase his talents on the football pitch on Friday night - but not in the manner you would expect!
The Liverpool legend, part of Sky Sports' broadcast team for Leicester and Nottingham Forest's Premier League clash, partook in a hilarious challenge before kick-off.
Carragher was spotted as Forest's 'Robin Hood' mascot before taking part in a footrace across the King Power Stadium against Leicester mascot Filbert Fox.
The hilarious incident was caught on camera as Carragher beat his rival to the finish line before losing his feet and slipping.
In a video circulated by X, Carragher's shoes could be seen flying off his feet during the race, which caused him to lose balance and fall over at the end.
Reflecting on the incident with co-pundits Kelly Cates and Gary Neville, he said: 'What do we always say on this show "Find a way to win"?
'We say that about the best teams. I don't normally get beat on a Friday night. They came off but the head was that big I couldn't see where they went in my peripheral vision.
Neville replied: 'Do you know Sky asked Leicester if I could go in the Fox outfit and they said no! I got turned down to be a mascot'.
Carragher's adventure as a football mascot comes shortly after the Liverpool legend made a guest appearance on Mail Sport's podcast Soccer A-Z.
During this, the former Liverpool star Jamie Carragher revealed the hilarious way that his now-employers Sky mock him - and it wasn't with a mascot outfit.
Carragher made reference to footage of Chelsea legend Gianfranco Zola weaving away from the ex-Reds defender during their playing days.
'I'm supposed to be one of your top pundits and you're ridiculing me!' he jokingly explained.
Shortly after the race, Carragher returned to his typical punditry role and provided some pre-match analysis for the clash at the King Power Stadium.
As it stands, Nottingham Forest sit in eighth after a relatively strong start to the campaign for Nuno Espirito Santo's men.
Meanwhile, the Foxes sit in 14th and just four points behind Forest.
