00:00I'm really delighted to say that our company has just approved a significant investment to rebuild the entire facility here at Rochester.
00:05It's about a £220 million investment that we're making here.
00:09And that's really on the strength of the business and the outlook we see for the operation here at Rochester.
00:14Lots of work done on the site here. So effectively what we're doing is building a brand new factory on our back car park here.
00:20We're going to demolish the current buildings and also update those at the same time.
00:23So virtually every building on the site here is going to be modernised through the next five years.
00:27It'll be a significant investment for the local area. So we're already creating a huge number of jobs here on the site.
00:33We've grown from a number of about 1,250 jobs just a few years back to over 1,600.
00:38Nearer to 1,800 I think by the end of this year.
00:40And we're planning to get up to about 2,100 jobs on the site here. All high value jobs as well.
00:46The foundation of the business is our engineering capability.
00:48But we have our own operations team here who build the equipment.
00:51We've got our own finance and commercial and HR and procurement teams as well.
00:54So a whole range of experiences that people can have with us.
00:58Well the business has been really founded on say high integrity controls.
01:01So primary flight controls, the electronic flub or wire systems that sit at the heart of an aircraft.
01:07But also head up displays that pilots look through for situational awareness and weapon systems.
01:12And things like helmet mounted displays as well.
