00:00It's just that we're trying to listen to you first, so we're going to get a bit faster.
00:09Sir, sir, sir, sir.
00:11Just here, very briefly, at the back of the edge.
00:14Sorry.
00:15It's my position.
00:16As fast forward as you can, sir.
00:18Thank you very much.
00:51Yes, I'd love to.
00:53What?
00:54You said today?
00:56Yes, please.
00:59Yes.
01:00I thought it was wonderful.
01:02Yes.
01:04The connections that you buy, and otherwise...
01:07Right.
01:08...actually to the world.
01:10Yes.
01:11Certainly.
01:12Yes.
01:14Well, I'm so happy.
01:16It's a real job well done.
01:19Long time no see, Your Majesty.
01:24Well, I...
01:25I took the abstraction.
01:30You must just be...
01:31It's a pleasure to see you again.
01:33It's a pleasure to meet you again.
01:35It's always a pleasure to be here, and I'm honoured.
01:37I'm always interested in your work and...
01:40No mouthful.
01:42I'm sorry.
01:44Would you...
01:45Would that a free photographer take your photo?
01:48I've just seen that picture of you two.
01:49Good to see you.
01:50That's great.
01:51I'm looking forward to...
01:52I hear you're a bit of a lion, so...
01:54I think we're going to have to...
01:58Yes, thank you.
02:00I hope you just enjoy the year that it takes.
02:02Yes, very nice.
02:04Excellent.
02:06I think you'd be under-dressed.
02:08You can tell by the...
02:10How nice to see you again.
02:12Good to see you.
02:13I'm all right now.
02:14I'm glad.
02:15Your Majesty.
02:16Your Majesty, what are you doing?
02:18Yeah, we're teamed up.
02:33Lovely to see you again.
03:12It is, though, a particular joy for me to return here and to deepen my understanding
03:15of Samoa and her people.
03:18I first visited, can you believe this, Samoa in 1974, as a young naval officer aboard a
03:26ship called HMS Jupiter.
03:30And from my naval journal, which I kept at the time throughout my naval career, I recall
03:36that we held a reception on board, at the end of which the two splendid hotel-owning
03:43sisters, Aggie Gray and Aunt Mary, got up and danced, as I described it, in the beautiful
03:51Simone style.
03:54And it is a happy coincidence to be back here on this occasion, at which I attended an event
04:01at a hotel that is still named in honour of Aggie Gray, some 50 years later, so it just
04:10shows how unbelievably old I am.
04:14But ladies and gentlemen, it remains a lifelong aspiration to have visited all the countries
04:20of the Commonwealth, although nowadays it seems to be a race against our happily increasing
04:28numbers, as well as doctors' orders.
04:34But I do want to offer my heartfelt thanks once again to the Government and people of
04:41Samoa for the wonderful way in which you have welcomed us.
04:53There is so much to learn from Samoa's outstanding hospitality, the strength of the Samoan spirit
05:00and the immense pride that Samoans have for your country, your culture, not to mention
05:07the wonderful way in which your villages have decorated their roads and communities.
05:19And I think and hope I speak for many of us when I say how deeply our experiences have
05:25touched us here and how they will stay with us always, in particular, if I may say so,
05:33the unforgettable magic of the singing and dancing at the end of the opening ceremony today.
