00:13Some residents who were evacuated from Malanday Elementary School in Marquina City are starting to go home to their homes after flooding the Marquina River following a heavy downpour caused by Hurricane Christine.
00:32Approximately 441 families, or more than 2,000 individuals, were evacuated after the Marquina River flooded following a heavy downpour.
00:42Aside from the 30 modular tents set up in the covered court of Malanday Elementary School, some families are going home to their 66 classrooms.
00:53According to the Quant Center, as of 5.40 a.m., 76 families have decided to go home to their homes because the sky is getting brighter as the weather improves.
01:06According to some residents, they were in a hurry to evacuate when they learned that the river was flooding because they were traumatized by the experience of Hurricane Ondoy and Ulysses.
01:18Earlier at 4 a.m., the Marquina City Rescue 161 went up to the second alarm, the water level in the Marquina River, when it reached 50 meters.
01:28But it was immediately lowered to the first alarm when the water level slowly dropped from the mountainous part of Rizal.
01:36First here, the Marquina City Rescue helped the residents who were affected by the downpour that resulted in flooding of the river.
