00:00Hello, the man, the myth, the Murphy. Here you are. It's so nice to see you again.
00:04Listen, I feel like I owe you an apology because the last time I saw you was for Oppenheimer and
00:08I gave you so many awful puns and they've haunted me ever since, so I'm sorry.
00:13It's okay. It's okay.
00:14It's lovely to see you again in this film. Astonishing. You again blew me away.
00:19There, I've done the pun again. I didn't even mean it. So good in this.
00:22Thanks.
00:23What does this mean to you to be able to, one, film in Ireland,
00:27work with Irish people and also share this important piece of Irish history?
00:31It's very important to me. I fell in love with the book when I read it and I knew it was kind
00:38of an important book for Ireland and it's on the curriculum in schools at home and people have
00:43really taken the book to heart. So we knew we had something special we had to preserve.
00:48That's what we tried to do.
00:50Subject matter aside, I know for me, as soon as I got offered work in Scotland,
00:53it's almost instantly a yes because I just want to go back home to see
00:56home and work there. So getting to film at home, is that a big part of
01:00saying yes to things for you now?
01:02Yeah, well, I guess since we generated it, we kind of knew we were going home.
01:06Amazing crews, amazing actors. It would have been a long time since I'd been back,
01:10so it was really nice to be back.
01:11And obviously, like I say, your performance, again, absolutely incredible, but this is so
01:16heavy. I mean, how do you shake off a day of filming after being this character?
01:20We always have a laugh. I was going with Eileen, who's my old pal, and with Enda,
01:23my old pal. So we always have a laugh, but you know, you have to.
01:26And listen, I saw you on a horse the other day, riding through the streets.
01:30Did you now?
01:30Where's the horse tonight? Did you leave it at home?
01:32I did, yeah.
01:33I was kind of hoping that you'd bring the horse.
01:35Listen, Tommy Shelby, we're all absolutely obsessed. Internet is in love with that man.
01:40What is it like? I know you can't tell me anything about the film,
01:42but what is it like stepping back into his shoes and his clobber? Because he's got great outfits.
01:47It was different, but it was familiar but different, I suppose. It's been a while.
01:50The script is great, amazing director, amazing cast. So we're nearly halfway through, I think.
01:55So I'll just keep going and hopefully, you know, I was very keen to make a film that the fans love,
02:01you know, because we have such amazing fans.
02:03An Academy Award-winning Kelly Murphy. That's got such a nice ring to it, right?
02:08Thanks.
02:08Has life changed?
02:10Genuinely, no. I went straight back to work. So no, I probably haven't sat down and had to
02:15think about it properly, but I suppose I should.
02:18It's so well-deserved, though, and just talking about the fans.
02:21Obviously, so many people here to see you tonight.
02:23Yeah.
02:24Is it always special when you get to say hello to folk?
02:26Oh yeah, I try to as much as I can.
02:29Well, on that note, you'd better go and say hi, because we'll be waiting for you.
02:32I'll put you under pressure now.
02:33Thanks.
02:34It's nice to see you, and when I see you for Peaky Blinders, I promise no puns.
02:37Okay.
02:37No terrible puns, I promise.
02:38There's a lot of Peaky puns, though.
02:39I know. I'll see you down there.
