00:00Yeah it's still fun. It was bigger and bigger and better than last year and next year's
00:21will be bigger and better than this one. Don't say that. It'll be 13 imagine all the things
00:27you can do. But we've got to fly in our back air race just before that so it needs to be easy.
00:34We have to defend our title there. Yeah it's been yeah 12 years is good. It's um I think
00:39we've learnt a lot over the 12 years about what works and what doesn't and how much wind we get.
00:45We're very practiced at putting things up like haunted houses and stuff like that so
00:49yeah as you can see yeah and we're still um we're still and we're great with power cords
00:57and power boards and double adapters and all that sort of rubbish working out where they all go to
01:03power all this stuff and we've still got a few themes left to try so you know we try to have
01:08a theme every year and we've got a good one.
01:16So this one is the haunted forest, spooky forest, the haunted forest or whatever. Scary forest.
01:22Don't go in there. Something will get you. How many people came last year do you think?
01:28Uh we had around 3 000 from our estimate. So down the road there the queue went right down to the
01:35end of the road and it was about a 45 minute wait to get into the haunted house and it was
01:40like that for about 5 30 ish till about 9 30. So yeah a lot of people.
01:53And the way we did that was we had to find some cardboard tubes we wanted them to be around 20
01:58to 25 centimeters so unfortunately we couldn't find any here in Canberra so we ended up going
02:03to Sydney and getting them from a digital printing place. We bought them back and then we cut out the
02:08eyes and the mouth and the top and then we covered it all in expanding foam and then painted over
02:15that with spray paint black and brown put some arms on and then I added some led lights so they're
02:21all different colors so that they just um after dark it's quite impressive and they all show up
02:26with different colors but um they just give a little bit of more depth to the forest because
02:30otherwise it was just some sticks. They have sticks right. I've spent a lot of time stick
02:38collecting sticks right across Canberra. That looks so good.
02:51It's a bit more interactive on the wait so instead of having our slime station in there
02:56we're going to put it out here so that there's something to do on the way so you're not
03:00standing around for 45 minutes and then doing everything in five minutes we're making it so
03:05you sort of there's things to do on the way and um we've got a few more houses in the street this
03:10year that'll take trick-or-treaters and that sort of thing so it should be good. And still for
03:14Stella Bella? Yes. Always for Stella Bella. It has to be a local charity. It has to be
03:23part of our community. And for kids. And you still love it? Still love the Halloween? Yeah.
03:31And um you know I've got a lot of stuff now but every year I seem to find something that would
03:38just add a little bit to what we have and maybe expand a little so hopefully there's some uh
03:45things that people haven't seen this year. Price of admission? Your soul!
