00:00Okay, so a more crackdown on the daily fantasy operators and this coming in Massachusetts.
00:08I mean, basically, the sports books, I would guess, Pat, are pushing to, you know, eliminate
00:14some of the DFS operators if they're going to offer similar games to their themselves.
00:20So, you know, I mean, look, this is not FanDuel and DraftKings suing PrizePix, Underdog and
00:26some of these other companies.
00:27But if the games are similar and the taxes are different, you see what the result is
00:31going to be.
00:32Yeah, I mean, this is a little different, but yeah, to your point, we've seen a lot
00:36of regulators cracking down saying you can't do this here.
00:38And in fact, it was something that happened in Massachusetts back in March, where the
00:42Attorney General sent a few seasoned assists and PrizePix and Underdog didn't receive those
00:46letters, but they still came to an agreement to say, hey, we're going to stop offering
00:50these products, switch to our peer-to-peer products and our normal DFS things versus
00:55their Pick'em products.
00:58And so that that was all good and fine.
01:00Now there's a guy suing PrizePix, Underdog and Yahoo for offering, he says, argues, illegal
01:07wagering.
01:09And he's suing to get all the money back from these companies that Massachusetts bettors
01:15have wagered with them, you know, saying, to your point, that they're registered as
01:21DFS operators, not sports betting operators.
01:24Now DraftKings and FanDuel, they can offer both types of products because they're registered
01:28as both.
01:30And so he's saying, you know what, no, I want to get this money back.
01:34You know, a spokesperson from Underdog told me it is just an ambulance chaser.
01:38He doesn't even have an account with us and, you know, discrediting him.
01:44It has three months to pick up more to become a class action lawsuit.
01:47We'll see if that happens.
01:49There's potential for it to be thrown out, a potential for a settlement.
01:53Who knows what actually happens.
01:54It's a very interesting case, though, that this guy's kind of saying, hey, I want this
01:58money back.
01:59You guys are making $10 million, we're making $10 million a month off of illegal wagers
02:04by Massachusetts residents.
02:06I want to help them get it back.
02:08He says he'll give it back to charity if he wins.
02:12So yeah, a really interesting lawsuit to see what happens if, you know, again, if it gets
02:16thrown out, if somebody throws a settlement at them or if it goes to, you know, a judgment.
02:20We'll see what happens.
02:21But yeah, DFS is not a not a boring world right now.
