00:00Department of Social Welfare and Development or DSWD Field Office 5 has promptly delivered
00:06family food packs to 446 displaced families in various evacuation centers in Irosin, Sorsogon.
00:13Based on the information gathered by the Philippine News Agency, the DSWD continues
00:18its relief operations in the region, providing assistance to internally displaced persons or IDPs
00:25in evacuation centers, and actively collaborating with local government units
00:29or LGUs to evaluate the situation and meet the needs of affected residents.
00:35More than 2.3 million pesos worth of humanitarian assistance had also been provided. Meanwhile,
00:42DSWD Secretary Rex Gatellan assured enough stockpiles of family food packs in its hub
00:48and the last-mile warehouses across all regions for augmentation to LGUs.
00:53The DSWD chief also revealed the agency's eyeing to preposition ready-to-eat food
00:58in regional offices that will be distributed during calamities and other emergencies.
01:03Furthermore, the DSWD urged residents residing near Magat and San Roque dams to stay alert
01:08and follow instructions of their local chief executives following
01:12the announcement of opening of spillway gates of the dam.
