00:00We are fully committed to protecting all children from harm and to ensuring the
00:03highest standards of safeguarding and child protection. All staff in our
00:07department must adhere to the next child protection policy and guidance and
00:10established procedures are in place for reporting concerns and disclosures. We're
00:15also committed to continuing our important work with victims and
00:17survivors. Since February we have engaged with the Commissioner for Survivors of
00:22Institutional Childhood Abuse and we'll also be shortly meeting with victims and
00:26survivors groups to discuss the issues that matter to them. We met with those
00:30affected by mother and baby institutions, Magdalene Laudrey's and
00:33workhouses before the launch of the public consultation and we're also
00:37committed to direct ongoing engagement as this process continues. We have
00:42secured the executives endorsement of a new strategy for victims and survivors
00:45of the troubles conflict and the new strategic framework for rent and
00:49violence against women and girls. This framework was developed through co-design
00:53with the input of the community and voluntary sector including the most
00:56valuable participation of women who have lived experience and in support of this
01:01the junior ministers visited grassroots women's organizations where they met
01:04with victims and survivors of violence. They've also met with victims and
01:07survivors of historical clerical child abuse and to discuss ongoing research
01:11and to attend an event to recognise the work of the regional trauma network.
01:15Across all of these areas of work we'll continue to focus on delivering for some
01:19of the most vulnerable people in our society.
