00:00A real mixed weekend, up until really today we haven't executed everything perfectly

00:07in order to score points and I think today you saw an absolutely brilliant drive from

00:11Franco and a really good team effort for us to score a single point but an important point

00:16relative to Alpine in the Championship.

00:18In terms of Alex's race, it was hindered following that lap one incident where Valtteri

00:23went into the back and broke the diffuser and the diffuser was fairly damaged.

00:27We corrected what we could with front wing adjusts, you also saw the front wing was damaged

00:31as a result of contact.

00:33We could correct the front wing and change it at the stop but the diffuser damage was

00:36so great that really Alex's race was over at that point.

00:40In terms of this weekend, what I'm pleased to see is we have a competitive car, again

00:44in the race we were fighting with Aston Martin and able to overtake them on track, in fact

00:48I think for me that was the overtake of the race watching Franco just dart out from the

00:52left hand side and come underneath Fernando to take the position.

00:57We have a car that's quicker than the V-Carb, Haas are competitive though and we have to

01:02acknowledge that they've put upgrades on the car and they're going to be a difficult

01:05entity for the remainder of the season.

01:08Irrespective, what it really points out to me is we didn't get it all right in qualifying

01:11yesterday as we put those softer compound tyres on, we simply didn't go any quicker

01:16and that for us is still a question mark we need to understand going forward because there's

01:20plenty more races where we have to make sure we're competitive in all conditions.

01:24We're now still plenty of races in front of us in this championship and there's lots

01:29of opportunity ahead, it's true that Haas have scored more points and we have to acknowledge

01:33that the gap is wider than it was when we started this triple header but I really like

01:38the progress that we're making and I especially like the fact that Franco digs deep every

01:43single race and produces a fantastic performance.

01:46Alex will come back fighting, we just need a clean weekend for both drivers and I can't

01:49wait for Mexico.
