00:21Motorola just announced two flip phones,
00:23the 2024 Moto Razr and the Moto Razr Plus.
00:27Both phones are updated versions of their clamshell foldables,
00:31which means I'm super excited for both of these phones.
00:33I do have a video of the 2024 Moto Razr Plus up on the channel.
00:37And yes guys, I did get the pink one. I'll link it up here and down below.
00:41In this video though, we're focusing on the more budget-friendly Moto Razr.
00:45We'll unbox the device, we'll take a look at what's new with this flip
00:48and also put it side by side with the other flips.
00:52But first, let's unbox.

01:46But there are cuter colors of this phone.
01:48There is a beach sand and a spritz orange device.
01:51I've had my hands on both phones and I'd say that
01:53the beach sand is really the color I like from this line.
01:56Now, the glaring difference between the 2024 Moto Razr
02:00and the previous Razr,
02:02the crazy change in cover screen size.
02:04This is now a 3.6 inch screen up front.
02:07A far cry from the small bar that was the last Razr's cover screen.
02:12On this cover screen, you're also getting access to Google Gemini
02:15with a touch of a button.
02:19What can you tell me about the 2024 Moto Razr?
02:22The Motorola Razr 2024 is the latest iteration of Motorola's foldable phone
02:27that combines a nostalgic design with modern features.
02:30And this bigger cover screen also gets all the new features.
02:33You get that new panel feature where when you pinch,
02:36you see an overview and you can rearrange stuff.
02:38The widgets on the cover screen are also available on this phone.
02:41And of course, the different customizations you can do on here too.

02:50Now inside, when unfolded, you're getting a 6.9 inch screen.
02:54This phone is also repping a 4,200mAh battery
02:58with 30W wire charging and 15W wireless charging.
03:02Now, let's take a closer look at this phone.
03:07So here we go.
03:08As you can see, it's really a way bigger screen now.
03:13And this is the previous Razr.
03:15We'll do the side by side a little later.
03:17But first off, we notice that it's now mostly screen.
03:21You have a tiny slab here that shows off the phone's colors.
03:25Even the camera cutouts.
03:27Basically, the modules are in the screen.
03:30This is also very nice and responsive.
03:33Pull down, you get your different settings.
03:36You have your different apps as well.
03:38Now to add apps to your cover screen,
03:41say for example, Google Drive,
03:43you will have to manually put them on there.
03:46But once you allow, you'll be able to open them here.
03:50Now at the bottom here, you get notifications.
03:53And then you also get your panels.
03:56So for example, if I sync my calendar, it's going to be there.
03:59If I pinch here, you're going to see all the panels
04:01and you can rearrange.
04:03You have games even on here.
04:05And also widgets.
04:07You add them on just like you would an Android device
04:11and you adjust them the same way.
04:13On the side, you get the unlock button
04:15which doubles as a fingerprint scanner.
04:17You get your two volume rockers.
04:19You get your USB-C charging port.
04:22You get your speakers.
04:24And yes, Dolby Atmos speakers for this.
04:27You also get your SIM tray on this side.
04:30Now the back is sort of matte.
04:33While I did say that I wanted the cream version of this,
04:36the texture on this particular color is super nice.
04:40The two other colors for this device has a vegan back texture.
04:44This is the vegan suede texture.
04:47Now unfolded, we can see that screen.
04:51Really nice and responsive as well.
04:54And yeah, that is how the crease looks.
04:57Now speaking of crease, this also has the new hinge.
05:03As you can see, side by side with the older Moto Razr,
05:08it is most definitely thinner.
05:10And I will say that even folding and unfolding,
05:14you can feel the difference.
05:19Now let's do the side by sides.
05:21Obviously, no contest.
05:23This is the previous Razr.
05:25Do you see how way small that screen cover is?
05:30Obviously, love that they brought this size here.
05:32It is looking very similar to the previous Razr Plus.
05:37I would say those are the same size even.
05:40And here is the 2024 Razr Plus with the biggest screen on here.
05:45And yes, you can most definitely see the difference.
05:48So for context, 2023 Razr, 2024 Razr, 2023 Razr Plus,
05:54and 2024 Razr Plus.
05:57You can definitely see the difference.
06:02Now outside on that cover screen,
06:04this Razr reps a 50MP main shooter and this has OIS.
06:08And a 13MP wide that's also a macro shooter.
06:11Up front, that's a 32MP selfie camera.
06:14Of course, on this phone, you also get the same flex camera features.
06:18And yes, that bigger screen means more fun with shooting with that cover display.
06:23You also get fun features like the photo booth
06:25and the same automatic camcorder features.
06:34While this base Razr got similar shooters from last year,
06:58aka that wide-slash-macro.
07:00Like you saw earlier, that Razr Plus does get a bigger cover screen.
07:04That's 4 inches versus the 3.6 on this base Razr.
07:08Other differences between the two phones include a difference in processor.
07:12This Razr is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7300X.
07:16Meantime, this Razr Plus is powered by a Snapdragon 8S Gen 3 chip.
07:20In terms of battery, this Razr has a bigger 4200mAh battery
07:25with 30W wired charging.
07:27And the Razr Plus has a smaller 4000mAh battery
07:31but with faster charging speeds at 45W wired charging
07:35and wireless charging at 15W.
07:38Both phones, though, are supposed to be more durable
07:40with Gorilla Glass Victus cover screens and high-strength aluminum frames.
07:45And finally, unfortunately, the Moto Razr 2024
07:49does not come in hot pink like the Razr Plus.
07:54And that was our look at the 2024 Moto Razr.
07:58Now, let me tell you, cover screen alone,
08:00this is quite an upgrade from last year's Razr.
08:03If you're looking to find a more affordable flip phone option,
08:06this might be the phone to look at.
08:08Of course, though, this is just my first look at the Moto Razr 2024.
