00:00Today's video is all about the OPPO Find X5 Pro.
00:14Yes folks, we have OPPO's newly announced flagship in the house.
00:18In this video, we're going to be unboxing it, we're looking at what's new with the phone,
00:21and of course, we're also doing a camera tour and some sample shots.
00:25Let's literally take five and unbox.
00:29OPPO Find X5 Pro 5G.
00:32Pretty interesting detail.
00:33OPPO has partnered with Hasselblad for this phone.
00:36We have the ceramic white in 12GB to 56GB variant.
00:47We have a SIM tool.
00:48Ooh, this is interesting.
00:50We unboxed the OPPO Find N and we found a similar card.
00:55Nice.
00:57Paperwork.
00:58And a really nice silicone cover.
01:02There's texture on that too.
01:04Ooh, you see the tiny detail? Find more.
01:06We have the phone, but let's see what else is in the box.
01:10We have a power brick and a power cord.
01:13And that's it.
01:14At the bottom, it says fingerprint location, so there is an in-display fingerprint scanner.
01:19This phone feels sleek.
01:20That says wireless charging on the circle here and there's a box and it says NFC.
01:30Man, look at this thing.
01:34On the right, that's a power button.
01:36At the bottom, you have speakers, USB-C ports, SIM tray.
01:40That is a two SIM situation.
01:44This is a curved screen and on the other side, volume buttons.
01:49And this is how the top of the phone looks.
01:52And this is like the whitest phone I've seen in a while.
01:55Let's power this up and in the meantime, you guys know what's coming.
01:59A montage.
02:20The design language we find on this new Find is pretty similar to the previous Find X3 Pro.
02:26Subtle curves on the camera module, which gives it that unique look.
02:30And honestly, I feel like this doesn't really translate in video.
02:33It looks way better in person and feels even better in hand.
02:37These are premium feeling devices.
02:40Listen, one too many times I've shot a mirror selfie with a Find X3 Pro
02:44and people say that they look like iPhones.
02:47And I get why that would be the case, especially because it's a two-dimensional photo.
02:51But in real life, holding these phones, using these phones are a whole different experience.
02:57Here's the Find X3 Pro side-by-side with the Find X5 Pro.
03:01And yes, there is no Find X4.
03:04The ceramic white of this phone looks very clean and fitting because that is a ceramic back.
03:11And up front, that's Gorilla Glass Victus, so it should be life-proof.
03:16Couple of things that I feel like I need to point out with this Oppo flagship.
03:19First off, this is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip,
03:23which is the same chip we're finding on all other flagships that's coming out in the market right now.
03:28Now what's so special and unique about this particular phone in terms of what's inside it
03:32is not necessarily that Snapdragon chip, but another chip.
03:36Marie's Silicon X, or Oppo's in-house imaging chip, powers the cameras of these phones.
03:41And in a nutshell, that means better 4K HDR video, 4K night video,
03:46and even optimization when it comes to social media that use the cameras of this phone.
03:52So let me know if you guys want to see a social media test with the Oppo Find X5 Pro.
03:55Comment down below.
03:56Now the cameras on the Find X5 Pro, at least the two main ones on the back,
04:00are the same two main cameras on the Find X3 Pro.
04:04Oppo claims that Marie's Silicon X, plus improvements on the glass used on the lenses of these cameras,
04:10should make these cameras even better.
04:12So of course, that having been said, I was pretty curious about the performance of the X5 Pro and the X3 Pro.
04:18And as you can see, based on these initial samples shot at the same time with the same lighting,
04:23there is a difference between the two cameras and how it treats low-light shots.
04:28And to add, Marie's Silicon X does not only power the rear cameras,
04:33it also adds to the front-facing camera of the Find X5 Pro.
04:37Aside from that, the Find X5 Pro has 5-axis OIS, which I put to the test walking, talking, and shooting.
04:43Now I will tell you that there is an update coming that will supposedly further better stabilization on this phone.
04:50But I mean, what you're seeing is footage shot on the phone and it looks pretty smooth as is.
04:57And finally, that Hasselblad collab.
05:00Aside from that Hasselblad shutter sound and an X-Pan mode,
05:04Oppo and Hasselblad partnered to calibrate colors on the phone to make everything look more natural,
05:09even going as far as getting a Hasselblad certification for how colors look with the photos and images you take with the Find X5.
05:18And finally, another thing that excites me about this phone,
05:21And finally, another thing that excites me about this phone,
05:24also because if you've seen my videos, you've probably heard me harp about SuperVOOC.
05:28This thing has 80W wire charging, which translates to 50% battery in around 12 minutes.
05:35Right, now that we got that covered, it's time for the camera tour.
05:39Right, here we go, camera tour time.
05:41So let's get to those cameras.
05:44We have 1x, wide.
05:461x, 2x, up.
05:50Up until 20x.
05:54On the right side, you have retouch, you have filters, you have Google Lens here.
05:59Up top, you have flash settings, you have HDR settings, AI, AI Scene Enhancement on.
06:06You also have a 15MP shooter toggle up there.
06:11And did you see that? Because we turned AI on, it recognizes there's a person there and it's suggesting you do portrait.
06:18On the right side, you have portrait mode, wide.
06:22Ooh, that's not just wide in 1x, that's wide and like a little zoomed in, probably 3x.
06:27You can switch between like an aperture of 16, which is weak, or 1.4.
06:34There are different retouch and filters down here.
06:38And then, timer settings.
06:41More settings up here.
06:43And then you have more.
06:44So you have your pro camera mode.
06:47All the different settings here.
06:49And then you can do wide.
06:51No, 1x, sorry.
06:53You can do 1x, you can do 2x, and can you zoom in up until 5x on pro mode.
06:59You have a high-res mode.
07:01This says that it's best for well-lit scenarios.
07:05You have a pano mode.
07:08There's a movie mode, which is basically pro mode for video.
07:12You can do wide, 1x, 2x, and that's what you can do.
07:18You have a slow-mo mode.
07:20You can do 720 or 1080.
07:23You can see the difference there.
07:25There is a time-lapse mode, wide, 1x, 2x, up until 20x on time-lapse.
07:33You also can do a hyperlapse from here.
07:38And then you can switch the speed of the time-lapse between 10x, 60, 120, 480, or 960.
07:46You have a long exposure mode, and you can do a wide or a 1x.
07:51Moving vehicles, it says there.
07:53And then down here, you can choose between moving vehicles, water and clouds, or light painting.
08:00And then down here, you also have filters.
08:03And I'm assuming these filters are hand-picked for this mode.
08:08You have a dual view mode.
08:10Always fun.
08:11So you can switch and use up until 10x or 1x.
08:17You can switch around how the dual view mode looks.
08:20And then you can make it round, a rectangle, and move this around.
08:25There are also retouch features here.
08:28Now, let me just point out that I love the difference in wording.
08:32We saw this on the OPPO Reno7 as well that I unboxed.
08:36They switched the beauty mode, like the beauty mode term, to retouch.
08:41Which is great because like I always say, the beauty mode or the retouch mode is great just for retouches.
08:47And it's not for hiding the real you.
08:49Your flaws are normal.
08:51So just a reminder.
08:52And then you have your stickers.
08:55So you can do 1x up until like 10x.
08:58And the stickers are over here.
09:01Text scanner, always useful.
09:03And then you have the X-Pan mode.
09:05And this is all thanks to the Hasselblad partnership.
09:10Right down here, you can edit the icons in the camera app.
09:14And then let's go to the other side.
09:17We have video.
09:19So obviously, we can shoot in 4K, 1080, 720.
09:23We have wide, 1x, 2x, up until 20x.
09:29We also have flash settings.
09:31There is an ultra steady pro mode.
09:33And you can do wide or 1x in that mode.
09:36Can you zoom in? No, you cannot.
09:39There's AI highlight video.
09:42And then down here, you can turn on the portrait mode.
09:45Again, 1.4 to 16.
09:48Here, you have a live beauty mode.
09:51Well, let me rephrase.
09:53Live retouch mode.
09:54And then different filters that you can use for video.
09:57And it does show, if you caught that,
10:00that this is only supported in 1080p, 30fps.
10:05This is the same for the portrait mode and the steady mode.
10:09On the other side, we have the night mode.
10:12So you have wide, 1x, 2x, up until 20x.
10:19Now see, this is a thing that you find on most phones.
10:23They really downgrade video when you add on all the filters or the different features.
10:28But I specifically like that it warns you that it can only do it in 1080p.
10:34Because one too many times, I've added on a filter or a steady mode
10:38without realizing that it's downgrading the video.
10:41On the other side, you have night mode.
10:44You have wide, 1x, 2x, up until 20x.
10:51You have a tripod mode on here, timer.
10:54You have size settings.
10:56And then we're doing selfies.
10:58So you have wide and then 1x.
11:01You have your retouch mode here.
11:04And as you can see, because this is a selfie camera, it's all very detailed.
11:08And I usually tend to toggle skin texture and leave the rest to zero.
11:15Up here, flash settings, timer, size.
11:18On video, you can shoot 1080 or 720.
11:22And then there is AI highlight video, of course.
11:25There is a steady mode.
11:27And on steady mode, on selfie video, this doesn't downsize, so it's 1080p.
11:32You have live portrait video, so you can toggle that as well.
11:36But it does downgrade to 720p.
11:39Here, you also have live, retouch, and filter options.
11:44On the right, you have a photo mode.
11:46So you have wide, 1x, no zoom.
11:50You have your retouch and filter options here.
11:53Again, very specific ones because you're using the selfie camera now.
11:58You have flash, HDR, auto.
12:00You have timer.
12:02You have aspect ratio.
12:03And then portrait, again, wide, 1x.
12:07And then you can switch around the bokeh in the background.
12:10You have your filters and your retouch mode.
12:14You also have your flash settings and timer settings.
12:17And then we are back to more, which we've already seen.
12:20So now, some sample shots.
12:41And that was our look at the OPPO Find X5 Pro.
12:44The Find X line has come a long way.
12:46And although the OPPO Find X5 Pro's improvements aren't as flashy as,
12:50let's say, a whole new purple form factor with a pop-up camera unseen
12:54in current phones in the market when it launched,
12:56or a freaking microscope on a phone,
13:00upgrades on this new flagship might just well be as significant.
13:04I mean, in and of itself, manufacturing an in-house chip for imaging
13:09is a feat.
13:10And if OPPO wanted to improve on already proven great-performing cameras
13:15on their established flagship line,
13:17that's definitely something I'd like to see.
13:19Or find.
13:23Get it?
13:24Of course, as to its claims on performance, we have yet to see.
13:28So let me know if you guys want to see a camera vlog test
13:30or a social media test.
13:32Comment down below.
