00:00Definitely, we love each other. Right? Right? Okay, no. Not that part. Yes.
00:10Hello, Asia One. I'm Herman Kay and the role I play in this show is Zhang Yaoguang.
00:16So, he's the eldest son of Romeo and Don. So, a little small fun fact is that he went to London to study. Yeah.
00:25And hi, I'm Ze Liang and I play his very loyal younger brother. My name is Zhang Yaoliang, same as my Ze Liang.
00:32And the fun fact is we went to London to study together. Yes.
00:35And so, I'm his trusty, loyal, loving little brother. We go everywhere together. Always there for me.
00:41Hi, Asia One. This is Tasha. I play Zhang Xinyang in Emerald Hill and today we are in Batu Pahat.
00:46Today, we're filming a scene where Zhang Xinyang comes back to the office and sees her brother in a fight and then she just barged in to help him.
01:01I was really scared because I didn't want to hurt them and the broom was actually a bit sharp so I was just trying to hold back my strength.
01:09But the stunt director and the director told me to just use my full strength so as to like make it look real and to do it like one shot.
01:16So, the boys were really nice. They communicated with me and let me know that it's okay to hit this area.
01:22So, I think communication is very important. Yup. So, that part was a bit scary but I think we did a great job.
01:30I think the fighting rehearsal part was quite on the spot. Yes.
01:34So, we had a martial arts fight scene instructor who was basically there to teach us all the moves and how we can choreograph the fight.
01:43And then we just learn it on the spot and try our best.
01:45But there's a lot of trial and error. So, like sometimes a few punches we might miss or we are afraid to hurt the other party.
01:51So, sometimes we will go lighter but actually on screen, it doesn't look as good. So, we have no choice but to like sometimes.
01:58And you know that the worst part is, right? So, you try to not hit your opponent as hard or whoever you are acting with and you end up doing more takes.
02:06Because it doesn't look very realistic, right? And I end up punching his watch instead.
02:10Yeah. So, sometimes I think you have to just go for it. Don't hesitate. Yes.
02:14Just punch your co-actor. Just do it.
02:19She did hold her strength back. So, she didn't go full force in like whacking us with the broom but she knows her technique very well. Yes.
02:27I would like to think that she didn't use 100% of her strength but she was like...
02:33Good one. Yeah. Next time, lighter.
02:35I'm okay lah. Like physically, I'm here. Mentally, I don't know where. But physically, I'm here.
02:40But I think yeah, overall, it's not that bad. I mean like she does give us the feeling of being whack but she doesn't really whack us. Yes.
02:48Professional ah. Not bad ah.
02:50Oh, I think there's no hate at all. Maybe you towards me a little bit. No? No?
03:00I don't think there's hate. I mean even if there is, I'll probably find him like you're very irritating but I'll still love him as my brother because he's always there for me.
03:07I mean like for him to me, probably it's like true love, you know? But for me to him, it's like a bit of hate but you're my brother.
03:14Even though you're annoying, I'll still love you.
03:16Maybe not hate lah. I'll just say sometimes you're like... Dislike. Annoying.
03:19Yeah, like this little brother is quite annoying right? Because I literally follow him everywhere he goes and I'll support him in everything that he does.
03:26So it's always good to have someone at home who supports all your decisions right? Good or bad or very bad.
03:31And sometimes like when I say a certain sentence, he will mouth it. He will repeat it like a parrot.
03:37Which sometimes it makes you feel as a brother, it feels so good. You know like when I scold this person like, you stupid?
03:42Then he'll be like, yeah yeah yeah you stupid. Then I'll be like, see? I feel so good. I have someone to like echo my voice.
03:48Feeding his ego.
03:55I think rongge is quite a simple dance but then in order to showcase the moves like better, I think we have to practice like the way they move their heads and the angles their hands are up.
04:07Because it's not just like an action. For me it was quite easy to learn that but I had a lot of fun like dancing with the cast members.
04:17We went...
04:20Silence on set.
04:22So all of us had to go for a class of rongge about I think 2-3 hours and then we went on set and just had a great time.
04:29No actually, to be honest, it's quite simple.
04:33Oh no, rongge is really so funny. Like yeah, we actually had a lot of fun watching him dance.
04:48I know he's a busy man.
04:49He's also a busy man.
04:50He has radio shows to do so he don't have time. He don't have time. He has work everyday for him.
04:58I mean like for me when I'm not working, I do have my free times but because he has daily work so like usually filming dates for him are mostly on like Saturdays, Sundays.
05:07So time spent on set, very precious. We value the time spent together.
05:12Actually filming like in overseas I think it's such a great time because you get to spend time with your co-actors and there's nothing we could do after work except for going out for dinner and drinks and you know chit-chat.
05:25So I think it really helps us in our acting. It gives us the chemistry and it allows us to be more open as well.
05:33Thank you Asia One. Be sure to watch Emerald Hill when it's out in 2025.
05:37And look out for our brotherly love.
05:41Thank you Asia One. Be sure to catch Emerald Hill in 2025. Bye!
