00:36If the situation like this persists, one would wonder.
00:41This morning when we came here to cover this story, two sorts of thoughts crossed our mind.

00:53At this picturesque site, otherwise picturesque site, not anymore though, we have heard stories
01:02about the value of river Yamuna, the role that river Yamuna played in the settlement
01:11of humanity across, along its borders.
01:16It's not happening anymore.
01:18Who are the inhabitants here?
01:20If you take a look at the skyline right above this water level, you would see scavengers.
01:27You would see vultures, eagles, birds flying up all around and trying to feed on the carcasses
01:35that also make way in these dirty waters of river Yamuna.
01:40And right above that is the multi-million apartments, office spaces, cranes, overhead
01:47cranes trying to erect another structure to last for another 100 years.
01:52Well, I cannot help the sneezing also looks like the effect the moment we got closer to
01:58these frothy foam.
02:00We have been told that this brownish upper layer that you see could be a mix of the sand,
02:13could be the mix of the plants, the saplings that are here, but it is also one of the most
02:23dangerous elements, the chemical that they are saying that's microplastic and it's so
02:30small that even when you breathe and I could barely stand here because the smell, the stench
02:37is getting and I could feel it that it is getting inside.
02:42So if we have reached to this stage as of now, it is whether it's a point of no return
02:50where we are standing, it's a big question.
02:52We have to think in terms of the sustainability and the efforts that people are taking to
03:00at least safeguard tomorrow.
