00:00All right guys, we got another comparison,
00:02the Pixel 7 Pro versus the iPhone 14 Pro here.
00:06The 14 Pro will cost you around 1,000 bucks
00:09and the Pixel will cost you 900 bucks.
00:12So very expensive phones, guys.
00:14So let's go ahead and get into it.
00:16So first off, let's start off with the hardware.
00:19Both these phones have beautiful hardware.
00:21They both have very distinct designs as well, too.
00:24Both massive camera bars on here, too.
00:27I love that, you know, Pixel goes with a very unique look.
00:31It just doesn't look like any other Android phone.
00:34The Pixel does have a glass back on here.
00:37You can't really see any fingerprints, honestly,
00:39with this color.
00:40iPhone has a matte finish as well, too.
00:42Very nice, can't see fingerprints.
00:44And they're both glass and metal devices,
00:46both IP68 dust and water resistant.
00:48They both have stereo speakers.
00:50You can see the Pixel is much taller,
00:55but they're both kind of a hefty phones.
00:57They both definitely have a weight to it, for sure, here.
01:01All right, so let's go ahead
01:02and talk about both displays here.
01:04So which phone is better for watching content on?
01:08The Pixel does have an LTPO AMOLED display.
01:10It's 120 hertz, it's HDR10+,
01:13with 1,500 nits peak brightness at 6.7 inches,
01:17and it is 1440p 512 for the PPI.
01:20The iPhone also has the LTPO Retina display.
01:23It is XDR OLED, and it's 120 hertz.
01:27It gets up, actually, to 2,000 nits peak brightness.
01:29So the iPhone is actually a little bit brighter outdoors
01:33by 500 nits, so it definitely,
01:35you can see it a little bit better than the Pixel.
01:38But they both do a pretty good job outdoors,
01:40it's just, again, the iPhone will be slightly brighter here.
01:44Also, like I said, the iPhone is not quite 1440p,
01:48but it does have a pretty high resolution as well, too,
01:501179 by 2556, 460 for the PPI.
01:55Basically, when it comes to the screens here,
01:58you'll notice that the iPhone
02:00has a much bigger punch hole on it,
02:02which can be a little bit more distracting
02:05when you're playing games
02:06or when you're just simply watching content
02:08and stuff like that.
02:09So I do think the Pixel is overall better
02:12for watching content.
02:13Not only that, but the Pixel does have a 1440p display,
02:17so you are able to watch 2K content on this phone.
02:22That's one thing that I really like.
02:23So I do like the Pixel display a little bit more.
02:25They're both 120 hertz, so they both feel pretty smooth.
02:28The Pixel does have a glass, not a glass,
02:30but a curve design here.
02:33Now, it's not a super dramatic curve like the 6 Pro,
02:36but the iPhone is completely flat,
02:38which some people actually might prefer.
02:39That might be a deal breaker for you.
02:40Some people hate curved phones,
02:43but it just depends on the person here.
02:45But like I said, the curve is really not that bad this year.
02:48But like I said, I think overall the Pixel
02:51still has a better display to me.
02:52I enjoy looking at it more when playing games
02:55and watching content.
02:56Apple finally got rid of their notch with this new cutout,
03:00and it does look really good compared to the notch.
03:03And the dynamic island does have a ton of little things,
03:06like it's able to basically be animated as well too.
03:10And it's pretty much being able to be used
03:14as like a little multitasking here.
03:16Let me turn that down just so I can show you guys.
03:18So that's one thing you might like
03:19about the little pale shape thing
03:22is that it kind of works as like a little multitasking thing.
03:26But overall for content and gaming,
03:28I think the Pixel has a better display.
03:30So let's go ahead and talk about the specs
03:32a little bit more.
03:32We do have Google's new Google Tensor G2 chip on the Pixel.
03:37We're running stock Android 13
03:39with 128 gigs of internal storage and 12 gigs of RAM on here.
03:44On the iPhone, we have Apple's A16, 128 gigs
03:47and six gigs of RAM, and we're running iOS 16.
03:50As you can see, big score difference here.
03:52The iPhone obviously is gonna have the higher scores
03:55because of the better software
03:58and hardware optimization here.
04:00So overall for raw power,
04:02yes, the iPhone is going to be able to beat the Pixel,
04:05whether it's Geekbench or whether it's Wildfire Mark,
04:10or whether it's, what's the other one, M2 to.
04:14So it's just gonna be, it's just gonna beat it.
04:17But when it comes to overall performance,
04:19like when I talk about real world performance,
04:21I'm talking about scrolling, swiping,
04:23launching applications and stuff like that.
04:27They're pretty much on par with each other.
04:29The average person will not really notice
04:31too much of a difference when it comes to speed.
04:34As we can see the iPhone, it's a little bit faster there.
04:37But honestly, like I said, guys,
04:39when it comes to like just the average person,
04:41you're not gonna really notice that second difference.
04:43Now, if we were doing like some video rendering
04:46or some like really hardcore gaming,
04:47like Genshin or stuff like that,
04:49then you would kind of notice
04:50that difference there for sure here.
04:53But overall, not gonna notice too much of a difference.
04:57As far as gaming, I did a gaming test on the Pixel.
05:00It plays games pretty well,
05:03but it wasn't able to play Fortnite that great.
05:06But Fortnite, I couldn't even test Fortnite on this phone,
05:09because apparently Fortnite and Apple
05:11are beefing or something like that,
05:13so they took the game off.
05:14But when it comes to games like PUBG and stuff like that,
05:17they actually play at the same exact settings.
05:19They both feel extremely smooth as well too.
05:22They both can play at HDR extreme on here.
05:26Now, hopefully we will get a 90 frames option
05:29with both of these phones.
05:31But for right now, if you are a gamer,
05:33you're pretty much looking at the same experience.
05:35Like I said, the iPhone is more powerful,
05:37so maybe for more demanding games,
05:40it'll be able to play those a little bit better
05:43or with more consistent frames.
05:45But like I said, I did a gaming test
05:47you guys can check out on the Pixel.
05:48It does a pretty good job.
05:50You can see HDR extreme.
05:51It feels really good here running at 60 frames.
05:55And the Pixel as well too,
05:56basically feels the same as well,
05:59also running at HDR extreme.
06:00So for the average person,
06:02I think you won't really notice too much of a difference
06:04when it comes to your gaming performance on here.
06:07They both actually do a pretty good job.
06:10All right, let's talk about some additional features.
06:11So Google now has the face unlock on here as well too.
06:16So you have your in-display fingerprint sensor
06:18and now you also have face unlock on this phone as well,
06:21which is really nice.
06:22With the iPhone, we still only get one.
06:24So one day I'm hoping Apple will listen
06:27and give us one option here.
06:29I mean, give us two options here.
06:30Maybe put Touch ID in the power button
06:32or something like that.
06:34I always love having two options over one.
06:37So I will give the Pixel a win in that category.
06:41Now, when it comes to the overall software experience
06:44on here, the Pixel is very bare minimum on here.
06:47It's super clean.
06:48I actually think it's smoother than the iPhone,
06:50in my opinion.
06:51The way they do the animations and stuff like that,
06:53the way it scrolls and stuff like that,
06:56it just has a super fast scroll
06:58and everything just feels really buttery smooth.
07:00People really don't appreciate how smooth this phone is.
07:05I've used a lot of flagship phones,
07:07S22 Ultra, Xiaomi's phones, LG phones.
07:11This phone is always blazing fast to me
07:13and always silky smooth
07:14and has that really cool stock Android experience
07:17that we've all come to know and love.
07:20So with the iPhone,
07:21they're getting a little bit more customization
07:23like with iOS 16 with the home screen.
07:25So iOS has always been pretty plain,
07:29but you actually will find a lot of the features
07:31now you find in Android.
07:32It's just missing a few things
07:34and true multi-tasking.
07:37The always-on display made it to the iPhone as well, too.
07:40So, feature-wise,
07:44iPhone is starting to catch up a little bit here.
07:46I do wanna go ahead and talk
07:47about the speakers on these phones.
07:51I've got stereo speakers on both, max volume.

07:55Okay, so I will go ahead and say that the Pixel does have slightly
08:26better bass on it. They both have excellent bass. It's actually really close, but I can hear
08:32the low notes on the Pixel way more clear than on the iPhone.
08:45Yeah, to me, the Pixel has a slight edge in terms of speaker quality.
08:49It just sounds a little bit more fuller to me. I just like the way it's tuned.
08:53It could go, you could pick either one, honestly. I do like the way the bass is tuned on the Pixel.
09:05Yeah, so they're both just super loud, both very close. I do like the bass quality on the Pixel
09:10though, but the iPhone has super strong bass as well too. So just excellent sounding speakers on
09:16both of these devices. All right, so let's talk about the image quality. I'm going to show you
09:20guys these side-by-side stills, but let's go ahead and talk about the specs first because this is
09:24probably one of the most important things about these phones. You might prefer the Pixel's image
09:29quality over the iPhone's. So that's one thing that I absolutely love about these Pixel phones.
09:34They're always my go-to camera phones. So this one has a 50 megapixel standard, a 48 megapixel
09:41telephoto, it does 5x optical zoom, and then a 12 megapixel ultra wide. It shoots in 4k60 on the
09:47front and back, and you also have a 10.8 megapixel selfie cam on here, and that is a wide angle lens
09:53as well. With the iPhone, we do have a 48 megapixel standard, a 12 megapixel 3x optical zoom, and then

12:35All right, let's talk about the battery specs on both of these phones. First off, battery life is
12:39incredible on both these phones, which is actually pretty new for the Pixel because the 6 Pro actually
12:45had just kind of average, decent kind of battery life. It wasn't great. The Pixel 7 Pro's battery
12:51life is actually pretty good. Standby time is excellent. I would say it's on par with the iPhone
12:55actually in terms of I don't have to worry about this phone dying on me within a day. Both these
13:01phones can do well over six hours of screen on time, which I found pretty impressive. So for
13:07battery life, you actually don't have to worry with either phone. So Pixel has 5,000 milliamp
13:12battery, 30 watt charging, wireless charging with reverse wireless charging as well too.
13:17And then the iPhone, it does have a 3,200 milliamp battery. And then you have the MagSafe
13:22wireless charging with wireless charging. The iPhone does not have reverse wireless charging
13:27as well. So basically what that means, I could charge like some earbuds on the Pixel or even
13:32another phone with the Pixel as well too. So that is something that you might be interested in.
13:39Basically, these are two awesome phones. It really, really depends on the image quality and
13:45the screen design. I think both phones are fairly fast as well too. But I think it really comes down
13:50to the cameras, honestly, because they're just both very good experiences. And obviously,
13:57iOS versus Android, that comes down to the person. But be sure to let me know, what do you guys think?
