00:00Hi, I'm Liz Evans. I'm the coordinator for the Shrewsbury Repair Café and we've been going about eight years now and
00:08we try and fix anything that anybody people can carry in really. So we do everything from, as you can see,
00:15cassette radios we've got here, to
00:18jeans, I think we've got a
00:20cordless drill coming in, things like that.
00:23So anything that people can carry in and today is the 15th anniversary of the International Repair Café
00:31which started it all off in Amsterdam.
00:34And there are now thousands of repair cafés all over the world and there are hundreds in the UK and
00:40there's probably at least ten in Shropshire.
00:42So we're just one of them. We get really precious ornaments sometimes that have been broken
00:49so we try and put those together.
00:51We're fortunate that we have a clock preparer
00:54so we get quite a few of those as well and we have a textile department where we do visible and invisible mending.
01:03So yeah, I've got some really talented people, so we're very lucky.
