00:00Oh, dried mango! Thank you!
00:06Thank you!
00:07Oh, hi!
00:09Good afternoon, everyone. I am Christine Juliana Piazza. You may call me CJ, as everybody calls me.
00:19I'm 26 years old and I'm hailing from the beautiful Cachi of the Philippines.
00:24I would say I am a very multifaceted woman.
00:27I wear different hats. I am a model, a host, a pastorella coach. I am a mental health advocate.
00:33And most importantly, I am the breadwinner of the family.
00:36And so I am a mental health advocate, particularly for my fellow breadwinners
00:41because I want to share their stories and my stories.
00:45And I believe that would allow me to inspire more people, young women as well,
00:50and others who are listening to me to know that there is a power within you
00:57that you can use to get inspiration and to be an instrument for others as well.
01:03At times, you may not feel that you are not your own inspiration,
01:07but you can be an inspiration to others. So you should take that chance within you.
01:12And so I would also say that this is like a second chance for me to join Miss Grand International
01:17because back in 2022, I joined a national pageant in the Philippines
01:22and I was aiming for Miss Grand International.
01:24But I am glad that my sister, Roberta, was the one who won the crown during that time
01:29and represented the Philippines.
01:31And so I took the chance when we were able to have another separate pageant
01:37for Miss Grand International in the Philippines.
01:40And so I said, this is my chance, maybe.
01:44And so I tried, even though I know that I will be given just three days to prepare and be here.
01:50Yes, I know it is a challenge, but I also know deep in my heart
01:54that I was preparing for the competition for how many years already?
01:58Because I've always wanted to perform.
02:01I've been dancing a little bit away from being sexy and glam.
02:07I am a hip-hop dancer before when I was a kid, yes.
02:11And now I am pushing through being a bassarela coach
02:14and I've always wanted to have my own studio
02:17and maybe use it also as a dance studio and train other girls as well.
02:22Also, I'm a graduate of Business Administration,
02:24major in Human Resource Development Management.
02:27However, I wasn't able to pursue the path of corporate jobs
02:32because I needed to fill in the responsibility of being the breadwinner.
02:38And I feel like being in the modeling and entertainment industry
02:42would allow me to feed my family and everything that they need as well.
02:46And that is a very practical mindset of mine.
02:49And so I pursued that category in life and I am able to pursue my passion.
02:54And at the same time, I would say it's a luxury and a privilege that is given to me.
02:59You said you like to inspire the others.
03:03What unique qualities do you bring to this competition to inspire other people?
03:08It's definitely a roller coaster.
03:10And before, I am a bit shy of sharing my stories.
03:14But beauty pageants allows us to open up more about ourselves,
03:19become more confident and comfortable in being who we really are
03:23and what we want to share to other people.
03:25And I think that is the common denominator of any pageants.
03:28And that is to bring out someone's confidence,
03:31their true personality and being able to bring out their own stories.
03:35And my intention in joining this competition is that
03:39first, I'd be able to perform in the grandest stage in the whole world.
03:43Secondly, of course, I'd be able to share my story more internationally.
03:48And to all my fellow breadwinners out there,
03:50I would just want to say that you are doing great.
03:54And I don't want you to lose hope in your own dreams and in your own passion,
03:58that you can also make something out of it.
04:00Hopefully, you'll be in Domestika and International 2025 or the coming years.
04:04And you don't know you can change someone's life because I am changing even just one life.
04:10And that for me is already a victory.
04:12And being able here, I'll be able to change more lives
04:15and I'll be gaining more victory and success.
04:19All the people working, the board of directors, everyone behind the staff and everyone
04:25we are working with, the girls and everyone, the media people,
04:30they are very much professional.
04:32They're very much creative.
04:34And they put so much heart.
04:36It puts so much hard work in everything that they do.
04:40And they just want to bring out the best pageant in the country.
04:44And they just want to produce a girl who would represent
04:47and be an ambassador of Miss Grand International.
04:49And that is for the very essence of bringing out the beauty of Miss Grand International.
04:56How we are as women, our power, unleashing it to our fullest potential.
05:01And that is the very job of Miss Grand International.
05:04And they are doing it every single day, I would say.
05:08Really, I'm having so much fun here.
05:11There is no such...
05:14Yeah, I do not see it in a way how others are trying to perceive it.
05:20That's why I am making use of this time to tell you all to cleanse your minds
05:25and change your mindset.
05:27Miss Grand International is truly a competition that you should pick me.
05:33Okay, for one of your hobbies, cooking.
05:37Okay, all Philippine fans always call us cooking show.
05:43What are you feeling?
05:44You are cooking too.
05:46Yeah, you are cooking.
05:48And they call me cooking show.
05:51How are you feeling?
05:53And what do you want to say?
05:55Well, again, I would say to all the Filipino fans,
05:59cooking in Thailand, their dishes is what I am looking forward.
06:04And I love their dishes.
06:07Now, I hope we just, you know, focus more on the definition of what is cooking.
06:13Because we are just cooking the most perfect group for the Grand Prize.
06:21I agree.
06:21No one eat the lamb.
06:24We must cook it, okay?
06:28I hope I'll be able to get the golden crown.
06:30But aside from me, I would say Miss Nepal, Prema.
06:35Prema has been a close friend of mine from the very start of the competition.
06:40Oh, to all my friends out there, I'm very much sorry.
06:44I just have to choose one.
06:45But only if we can give the golden crown to everybody, we would definitely.
06:49But Prema, I believe she mirrors the values that I have as well.
06:54I can see that she's a performer.
06:57She is also trying to be an inspiration and aspiration in her country.
07:01And I see the value of determination and discipline in her.
07:05Her hard work, she puts so much passion and love in things that she do.
07:12And that mirrors my value as well.
07:14And I can truly see a queen in her.
07:16And so I would choose Miss Nepal.
