Do you think fireworks are harmless fun, or do their risks, such as injuries and the distress they cause to pets and wildlife, outweigh the enjoyment? Would you support a ban or restrictions - why/why not?

00:00I think they should actually be restricted for certain events.
00:02I mean, when I was a kid, yeah, I mean, like other kids,
00:05I'd lick fireworks off before Bonfire Night, sometimes just after it.
00:08But nowadays, it's from September onwards.
00:11And, you know, it's getting a bit ridiculous.
00:13And I feel sorry for people's pets, cats and dogs,
00:16because it really frightens them to death.
00:18And, you know, people, they don't consider that.
00:22So I really honestly do think we should be restricted to certain events.
00:26People who are organising this,
00:28they have the responsibility to make sure they did it effectively,
00:33so it does not affect people who are in surrounding.
00:36The best one I've been to was several years ago,
00:39when my granddaughter was a bit younger, at Roundy Park.
00:42And I was really impressed.
00:44And I'd only ever been to a proper fireworks display before once,
00:47I was at Woodhouse Moor,
00:48but Roundy Park one was a lot better, really impressive.
00:53It was, it seemed a long way walking there,
00:55it seemed to take forever.
00:57But it was worth it.
