00:00Hello, and welcome to another episode of Wireless Mice.
00:08No, Dave2D here, and this is a pile of wireless mice.
00:12You know what, I was cleaning my office, and I was like,
00:14I have a lot of wireless mice, and these are ones that I like.
00:17There's a lot of other ones that I've used that I never kept around.
00:20These are the ones I like, and I wanted to do a quick video
00:22kind of talking about why I like them, and maybe one of these might be right for you.
00:26Okay, these mice are, actually most of them are Bluetooth enabled.
00:31I really feel like for laptops, for mobility, you just gotta use a Bluetooth mouse.
00:36If you have one of those dongles that plug in, you're doing it wrong.
00:39If you're using a wired mouse, unless you're playing games,
00:42you're definitely doing it wrong.
00:43Pick up a wireless mouse. There's some really good ones.
00:46Some of them are very inexpensive.
00:47Alright, we're gonna start off with, not this one.
00:50This is not Bluetooth. The rest of them are.
00:53Okay, this one is a really good wireless mouse, but you need, like, a receiver,
00:57and that's just not really great for laptop users.
01:01So, screw that thing. That's a Razer something or other.
01:04The good ones are here.
01:06Okay, first, let's talk about this one. Razer Oracai.
01:10This is a pretty unique looking mouse.
01:12Like, if Batman had a mouse, it would probably be this one.
01:15It's got great tracking, but battery life isn't good,
01:18and I feel like the shape of it requires a very particular fingertip grip.
01:22I like it, and it's not too expensive, but I wouldn't recommend it for everyone.
01:25The next mouse is, let's go with this one.
01:28This is a Bluetooth mouse that is very inexpensive.
01:31It's, I think, $12 on Amazon.
01:33There's another version to this that's $10, which uses a dongle, which is actually this one.
01:38If you don't have a Bluetooth enabled computer for whatever reason,
01:41or if you're comfortable using dongles, you can save $2,
01:44but just get the Bluetooth one if you can.
01:46It's literally the cheapest mouse that I've used that I enjoy.
01:50It's made by a company called JetTech.
01:52Comfortable to hold, and it can handle a bunch of different grips,
01:55and the sensor is surprisingly good.
01:57The one thing I dislike about it is the battery.
02:00It uses a single AA, but it's a pain in the ass to remove and install it.
02:03You gotta pull on the battery super hard to pop it out,
02:06but for $12, I still recommend it. It's a good mouse.
02:09Next up is the Apple mouse. This thing sucks.
02:11I don't even know why it's in here. I have it.
02:13I just, I don't recommend this for anyone.
02:15It looks very pretty, but it's a terrible mouse.
02:17I think Apple needs to make a better mouse.
02:19Next up, we have the MX Master Mice.
02:21This is the old one. This is the new one.
02:23It's a great mouse, and even though it looks big,
02:25it's comfortable to use with small hands.
02:27It has a side scroll, lots of buttons, excellent sensor.
02:30The new version looks and feels pretty much identical to the old one.
02:33It has a couple new features, like higher DPI, longer battery life,
02:37and this new thing called Logitech Flow.
02:39So that's a feature that allows you to use the mouse across multiple computers.
02:43Not just the cursor between screens,
02:45but you can actually transfer files and stuff between the two computers.
02:48And when I first used it, I thought it was super cool.
02:50It actually feels very magical, but I just never use it.
02:53And I'm someone who uses multiple computers every single day.
02:56I have two computers on my table all the time running.
02:59So, I don't know, if I'm not using it, I feel like most people wouldn't use that feature.
03:03It also has a small version of this thing, the MX Anywhere Mouse.
03:07So this is the old one, the MX Anywhere 2, and this is the new one, the 2S.
03:11Same idea though, awesome sensor, good enough to play shooters casually,
03:14long battery life, I like these a lot.
03:16And these MX Anywhere mice have this side scroll that the big ones don't.
03:20Okay, last two.
03:21Microsoft makes a lot of mice, and some of them are terrible, but most of them are pretty good.
03:25My two favorite are these two, the Microsoft Surface Mouse and the Sculpt Comfort Mouse.
03:30I like the Surface Mouse a lot.
03:32It's super simple, maybe a little too simple for some people,
03:35but I love the minimal aesthetic on it.
03:37The one thing I dislike about this thing as a travel mouse though,
03:40is that the battery cover is magnetically attached.
03:43So it pops off pretty easily, it can fall out of your bag if it pops off, and that's kind of annoying.
03:47The other one is the Sculpt Comfort Mouse, and I gotta be honest, I think this thing looks pretty ugly.
03:52It's very comfortable to hold, but it's not a pretty mouse.
03:55The Windows button on the side is touch sensitive, so you can scroll up, scroll down,
03:59I mean it just adds a lot of functionality, and you can press it to launch the Windows button.
04:02It's inexpensive, and the battery lasts a long time.
04:05But my favorite feature about this mouse is actually the horizontal scroll.
04:08This is one of the cheapest mice out there with a reliable horizontal scroll
04:12that works right out of the box. You don't need drivers, you don't need software, which is really nice.
04:16Now, that's not a feature that everyone uses, but if you like video editing,
04:19or you have big database files, or Excel files, horizontal scroll is awesome.
04:23These are all really good mice, and you can't go wrong choosing any of them,
04:27but if I had to pick one as my universal recommendation for laptop users,
04:31it would be this one, the MX Anywhere 2.
04:33So this is the older one. The 2S is quite a bit more expensive,
04:36I think that's like 40% more expensive.
04:39This one's so much cheaper, and it's exactly the same in terms of user experience.
04:43It's supposed to have lower DPI and smaller battery,
04:46but I'm charging it just as frequently, and the tracking feels exactly the same between the two.
04:50And I'm also not using Logitech Flow.
04:52So yeah, this mouse is a good choice for a lot of people.
04:55Now there's two other things I wanted to bring up.
04:57Mousepads.
04:58The first one is this travel mousepad from Razer, it's called the Razer Kabuto.
05:02It's basically a really thin sheet of neoprene.
05:04It's a cloth surface mousepad that you can roll up or keep in between the screen of most laptops.
05:09It doesn't fit MacBooks though, the tolerance on those are a little bit tighter.
05:12For MacBooks, I recommend this thing.
05:14It's made by 3M, it's a hard surface with great tracking.
05:17The bottom is sticky to give it some grip wherever you want to use it,
05:20so you can place it behind your laptop or whatever.
05:22It's not taped though, it's this micro suction material
05:25that you can just rinse every time it gets gunky or anything.
05:28But yeah, I've had this for two years, and it looks basically brand new.
05:31Okay, hope you guys enjoyed this video.
05:33Thumbs if you liked it, subs if you loved it.
05:35See you guys next time.
05:36I've linked all of these mice and these mousepads down below in the description.
05:39Okay.
