00:00Super Bowl footage of any use at all at the stage based on timeline.
00:06Things are doing differently. Yeah, I think both teams will look at that for
00:09sure. Yeah, you're gonna look at everything. I mean, over over the time
00:13that we've had against each other, I mean, along with the games we've
00:16already played and they've played. So you look at all of that. You think
00:20there's any consciousness at all? They had notion of a rematch or not. It's
00:24just another regular seating game. Yeah, I think that comes from you guys. And
00:28then, um, but I think it's two good teams playing each other for sure. I
00:35mean, that's what that's how I look at it.
00:38That was a by week for you. Coach, what is it about the Niners defense that
00:44makes them so difficult?
00:47Yeah, so they got their defensive front starts starts with those guys. Um, and
00:53then, um, you know, they've got all pro linebacker sitting right there.
00:59Uh, that's pretty good along with their secondary. So they're well rounded,
01:03but it starts with the defensive front. Those guys, uh, you know, they set the
01:08tempo for their defense. What do you see from him as he's gone through here
01:14getting a couple years into the same where it seems to not be dropping off?
01:18No, I think he's a heck of a player. I remember their head coach at Iowa State
01:23saying this guy changed the program around. And when you make a statement
01:28like that, and he's a good football coach. When you make a statement like
01:30that, um, that's bold. And it's, uh,
01:36we all see why he said it. You know, he was right on with that. I mean, this
01:40kid, he's a heck of a football player.
01:43What was just kind of your impression so far? Just how much the juju has been
01:48able to pick up where he was, you know, in 2022 with you guys?
01:52Yeah. Um, well, first of all, he's a good. He's a veteran. He works hard,
01:57and he's smart. So I think all of those kind of go into that. Uh, and, you
02:03know, Pat has trust in him. So and we, as coaches, have trust in him, and we
02:09try to put him in good positions for his strengths and, um, try to utilize
02:14those. And that's, uh, I think all of those things can add up to production.
02:21Um, but the main thing is, he's kept himself in great shape, and he's smart.
02:25You know, he can. He knows how to play the game. He said we got here. Then
02:29Patrick, you're used to obviously playing in big games, but something
02:32special about this one, given the recent history between these teams?
02:36Um, yeah, I mean, I think it's as big as a regular season game you could
02:39play in. But I mean, they're a great football team, and I always, um, like
02:44going up against the best, and that's what we're going up against this week.
02:47And so we understand this could be a big game. We understand that it's gonna
02:50take our best to win. Um, and so you said to have extreme focus and know
02:54that it's gonna be one play that kind of decides the entire game. You talked
02:57before about your interest in history. Are you kind of aware of what this
03:02rivalry is? What what its place in NFL history is now? Um, yeah, in a sense, I
03:08think, um, whenever you have two great football teams that meet up in the
03:11Super Bowl and meet up in all these big games, um, there's gonna be a history
03:14between that. And so, um, obviously, we've been able to win those games, but
03:18we know how good this football team is, and we have a ton of respect for him.
03:22Um, and so it's not like one play couldn't change all these football
03:25games. And so we're going with that mindset of we just gonna make the plays
03:28whenever they count. When you watched the last two drives of last year's
03:32game, what goes through your mind when you see those two drives? Um, I think
03:37the biggest thing that is guys just stepped up and made plays. I mean, it
03:41was it wasn't one guy. Um, it was everybody. Um, and guys just continue to
03:45make plays and did their job. And that's what special football teams do.
03:48And, um, it was this close. I mean, there's a play here and there that
03:51changes. Um, then they win. And so that's kind of the NFL. And especially
03:55when he gets to the top teams going up against each other, recognizing part of
04:00the body just to get away. What qualities make Jesus Schuster a good
04:04player for that role opposite Kelsey? Yeah, I think he just does a good job
04:07of knowing where to be at, knowing the full concept of the offense, getting
04:10himself open and man to man coverage and then just doing whatever it takes to
04:14be good. I mean, he'll block. Um, he'll catch the ball. He'll run routes, get
04:17other guys open. Um, it's a true team player. And then when his number gets
04:21called, he goes out there and makes the play. And that's what it takes to be
04:24great in this league. Speaking of keeping your body right
