00:07volunteer firefighters for the first time. A junior fire and rescue team was launched
00:12at Sekolah Kebangsaan Tun Syed Ahmad Shahabuddin in Ayer Kero on Thursday, offering students
00:19hands-on experience in managing various situations. The department's State Director, Assistant
00:24Fire Commissioner Mohamed Pisar Aziz, said the pupils will be trained in basic modules
00:29like marching, first aid, CPR, knot tying and water safety. He said the department aims
00:36to set up junior fire and rescue teams in 11 primary schools this year.
00:41Since January, six schools in Malacca have established such teams, involving 308 pupils.
00:48The initiative aims to instill a fire safety culture and raise awareness about preventive
00:53measures among school children.
