A shy three-year-old who built up the courage to sweetly dance with an elderly couple at a music festival spotted them at the same event a year later and ran to them for another dance. Little Marlee Knight, from Spring Bay, Illinois, loves to dance – but at one of her local American Legion’s music events last summer, Marlee was too shy to show off her moves. Spotting Marlee from afar, a dancing couple, Michael and Linda, made eye contact with the youngster and waved to her to come and join them. Marlee’s mom, Hannah, 28, was so touched by the gesture that she captured a short video of the trio’s time dancing together. Then, a year later at the same event, on June 1, 2024, Hannah spotted a pair of familiar faces dancing once again and asked Marlee if she recognized Michael and Linda. Hannah admitted she wasn’t expecting Marlee to head over the couple because the dancefloor was busier than the previous summer, but, to her surprise, Marlee ran straight to Michael and Linda.
