Christian Williams, father of Betsy, talks about the Welsh Jump Jockeys Derby in aid of Latch

00:00Christian lovely to see you here today with your family and of course Betsy and

00:03something a little bit different the first race the Welsh jockeys Derby in

00:08support of Lach. Wonderful yeah very lucky it's our family and obviously the

00:13families that in a similar position to us being for Lach been very supportive

00:17and for Chepstow to you know try and raise money for that charity is great

00:21same last year this year and hopefully they'll carry on. I feel like Welsh racing

00:25racing itself but particularly Welsh rating racing is like a family they

00:30certainly have been to you guys. No we're very lucky of course we you know the

00:34situation we've been put in we're just so privileged to be involved in the

00:37sport and and the support that the whole sport has given us and as I said other

00:42families and outside of racing just very very grateful. And most importantly how's

00:46Betsy doing? Great thanks not too bad thank you very much so I was three

00:50quarters of the way through now so hopefully May 2025 get to ring the bell and fingers

00:55crossed. Brilliant thanks for the update lovely to see you here today. Thank you
