00:26have a bit of a chat and then you often get players coming out from opposing
00:29teams having a bit of a chat with each other this is Al our sound guy not as
00:32quick as he used to be gets in shot now and again and look it's been a brilliant
00:36derby weekend so he wants to kind of celebrate the great thing about this
00:39league and it is rivalries and derbies and those good great days when it's not
00:43about the league table it's just winning against a team you don't like very much
00:47Lyle your greatest derby day remind me well I think in the in the old days of
00:51Beats of Max television I think Quinn's and and was when they were both London
00:55clubs was the big derby you know they really didn't like each other and maybe
00:59debut against Quinn's played against him an awful lot and thankfully got on
01:03the better side of him but we ended up playing Leicester a lot more in the in
01:06the derby at Twickenham was there a certain player who you just couldn't
01:09wait to kind of get your hands on and go up against well I think when you put not
01:12the referees not there when you play for your clubs obviously people like Jason
01:15Leonard and and guys that you you meet up with in England camp and then you
01:18sort of forget the year your club rivalries when you know when you're
01:21playing against each other so you'd have no problem stepping all over me

01:54against them and kind of spot that rivalry and score that was that was cool

18:44Because the TMO came in and he didn't have the footage
18:46The referee didn't have access to this
18:48So it's very hard for him to make a rugby based decision

18:54Without conferring on the referee
18:56So that makes that bit really hard
18:58So he's actually not seen it
19:00So we've got a TMO on his own making the decision

19:06I think maybe he could be guilty of the outcome

27:58One would be the drop
28:02I did a lot of Aussie rules coming through
28:04When I was in New Zealand
28:06Played Aussie rules, went to Australia
28:08Did a bit through their academy
28:10Me and a couple of guys
28:12What we learned around was a lot of drop work
28:14The key around is getting
28:16Same hand over the same foot
28:18Heading towards the same target
28:20Dropping the ball on the floor
28:22A lot of work on that
28:24We would go around
28:26Just walking around
28:28Just making sure you're getting
28:30The hand to the foot
28:32To the drop
28:34If you start dropping on the outside
28:36The ball's going to go to the right
28:38Drop on the inside
28:40Get a couple of balls
28:42As you can see already
28:44You're dropping it like I used to do
28:46When I was four
28:48You're doing this
28:50You're doing that
28:52If you can hold onto the ball
28:54Try if you can
28:56I used to get my ring finger down the seam line
28:58Watch how much control I have on the ball
29:00Just dropping it onto the ball
29:02Almost placing it onto my foot
29:04That gives you a real consistent drop
29:06It's like 50 years
29:08Of retraining required
29:10What happens if you don't have a consistent drop
29:12You can't have trust in your kicking process
29:14Because your drop's going to be on the inside of the foot
29:16Which means it's going to go to the left
29:18On the outside of the foot
29:20That's probably one of the key things
29:22Any young kid out there
29:24Even just starting to warm up
29:26Or even around the house
29:28Walking up through the corridors
29:30How often can you get that consistent drop
29:32It should be right over the foot
29:34Hand to foot
29:36That'll give you a real consistent drop
29:39That's really breakable around the house
29:41Best to have a ball in there
29:43It's good positive reinforcement
29:45If you're breaking windows
29:47You're probably not getting your drop right
29:49It was positive reinforcement
29:51You might bite a couple of ones on that

31:07A little bit of a common mistake would be

31:11Who's about 20-30 metres away
31:13It's quite easy sometimes to keep it over your foot
31:15But as you go to kick it
31:17You come out of it
31:19Your weight goes backwards
31:21And what happens is you suddenly lose sight of the ball
31:23As you go through you come up
31:25I want you to try here
31:27It might be hard
31:29When you kick land on your kicking foot
31:31So when you kick
31:33This is going to get you to kick
31:35And you're going to kick and land on your kicking foot
31:37And that's going to get you through the ball
31:39So if I kick
31:41And kick through
31:43I'm going to land on my kicking foot
31:45Nearly got straight to it
31:47I've got trainers on
31:49So as you go through
31:51Try and kick
