00:00But props seem to be a hot topic for the CEO of DraftKings, Jason Robbins, seems to be all in on this and NBA season, isn't it?
00:10Yeah, definitely, Craig. If you set the over under at 12 and a half about how many times you would hear parlays or props mentioned at this conference, you would have smashed the over.
00:20Everyone's always talking about this. This is the stuff that has got the sports betting business really booming over the past couple of years.
00:27As you've seen, these companies make a profit and player props have been a big part of it.
00:31These, of course, are bets you place on people to have a certain stat in a game, whether it's throwing for 300 yards, hitting two, three pointers.
00:40DraftKings CEO Jason Robbins said he wants his company to be the preeminent place, the preeminent app that you bet on player props this NBA season.
00:50They're really popular with football, but he was talking about wanting to roll that success over to other sports like the NBA, where it is very player focused.
00:58You have fantasy. You can see the players' faces. They're not behind helmets.
01:02And it's a really cool way for these companies to try to market selling a narrative while you watch the game.
01:08You can also bet on different things you think will happen.
01:12Flutter CEO Peter Jackson also chimed in, saying that 50 percent of all FanDuel users who bet on Monday Night Football last week were betting on same game parlays.
01:22That's while parlay legs have gone up about 5 percent on average, essentially meaning that the bets have gotten harder to hit and the payouts have gotten bigger.
01:30But people seem to keep betting on them anyways.
01:33He also talked about a new feature that FanDuel is going to unveil in the coming weeks, which is going to allow you to set your own alternate lines on different player props.
01:43Instead of selecting someone that either have over 25 yards, 30 yards, you can now do 26, 27, 28 and really customize these bets.
01:51Given that Robbins was talking about also wanting to push player props behind parlays as well.
01:57It'll be really interesting to see what DraftKings does to compete with their chief competitor, as these have been essentially the two best companies on product.
02:05And that's why they're the number one and number two in the space right now.
