00:00I walk my dog with a spray bottle, mainly because it's her positive reinforcement
00:03and she likes the interactivity of it. But it came in handy today because a
00:07giant German Shepherd came running up to us off leash and sure the owner's like
00:10he's not gonna do anything, he's not gonna do anything. Okay, cool. I don't know
00:14your dog. I don't know how my dog on her leash is going to react to your huge
00:18German Shepherd coming at her. If she reacts negatively and he snaps back
00:21we're gonna have an issue. There's also signs all over our complex that say dogs
00:26must be on a leash and in addition to that your dog is not showing very good
00:29recall. So the spray bottle also came in handy because it's just water, it's
00:33harmless. I know there are also dog like bloat, like air horns that you can use to
00:37deter dogs but I didn't have that on me today so the spray bottle had to work.
00:40And then we went off on our merry little way because this one loves her spray
00:43bottle and the German Shepherd did not, thankfully. But like the owner clearly
00:47couldn't get a hold of the dog. He wasn't recalling, he wasn't coming back, he just
00:50kept coming at us and I'm like again glad that you're saying he's not gonna
00:54do anything but I don't know your dog and I don't know how dogs are gonna
00:56react to each other in the moment.
