00:00Hey it's Adrian and today I have Tozo's HA1 wireless Bluetooth headphones. These have 40
00:06millimeter drivers, Bluetooth 5.4, up to an impressive 70 hours of playtime and they can
00:12also be used in wired mode with a 3.5 millimeter jack. There's also multi-point functionality and
00:19they're completely foldable. Now these are a pretty good value when they go on sale at around
00:23$30 US however there's one thing missing on these that may or may not be a deal breaker for you so
00:28let's take a closer look at how well they perform and a big thanks to Tozo for sending these out
00:32for review. In the box we have the Tozo HA1 wireless Bluetooth headphones. We also have a 3.5
00:37millimeter audio cable, a USB type A to type C charging cable and quick start guide and manual.
00:42The Tozo HA1s are really nice looking headphones so it's pretty much this matte black type of
00:47finish but where we have the Tozo logo it's kind of with a glossy type of finish which looks really
00:53nice and plays with the light well. Now this is a fairly lightweight pair of headphones coming in
00:57at 235 grams or about half a pound. Now in terms of the foldability or portability so you can swivel
01:05them flat down to just kind of slip them into a backpack or you can actually fold them inwards
01:10just like so for even more compact carry. Now once you swivel them back out or you just you know
01:16unfold them we have the left and right ear cups and this is what the material looks like from the
01:21side so it's this kind of you know fake or faux type of leather material and it's pretty plush.
01:27Now in terms of the ear cups you can see they could swivel out a little bit just so that
01:33once you adjust the headband which are a steel type of frame you know they do have room to kind
01:39of adapt to your head nicely so yeah no problems there in terms of the ear cups and then we do have
01:45you know the same type of plush added headband. Now this is a little bit softer than on the actual
01:51ear cup material I found. In terms of buttons we have the power button which turns the headphones
01:56on off you can also pause or resume music playback or put these into game mode and take them out of
02:01game mode. There's an LED indicator like volume up and down button and these will also skip tracks or
02:08go to a previous track if you long press on them and again these are tactile presses. You also have
02:13a 3.5 millimeter audio jack if you want to connect these to you know a laptop desktop or if you have
02:19a phone that still has this port and then there's a USB type-c port here and this seems just for
02:25charging the headphones up I wasn't able to get this to transmit audio and then there's a dedicated
02:29EQ button which cycles through three EQs which are standard, clear travel, and deep bass. Here's a
02:35quick look at the specs feel free to pause or jump ahead to the next section. Let's connect the Tozo
02:40HA1 to the phone so I'll press and hold the power button until I see flashing white and red LED
02:45lights. Now to get this you're going to have to hold down for about six seconds and I could see
02:50those flashing lights right now so I'll hit scan on my phone and I'll just wait for it to pop up
02:55in the bottom here under available devices. Tozo HA1 hit pair and they're connected and I'll repeat
03:05the same process on my Z Fold 6 so I'll go ahead pair it on here hit pair and I could see it's
03:12connected at the top here now if I go back into the HA1 hit connect so it's now connected to both
03:19phones my S24 Ultra and Z Fold 6 at the same time thanks to the multi-point connectivity
03:24but let me demo it and I'll start playing music on the first phone to show the multi-point
03:30and I can just pause that start playing on the second phone
03:36so it's pretty seamless
03:37let's take a look at the app settings in the Tozo app so the HA1 is connected I can see the
03:42battery life set 100% and if I scroll down I can see the current EQ set to piano I could click into
03:48that generally I use the electronic equalizer on here but there's actually even better options
03:54than that you can go into EQ zone and it shows recommended EQs you know that were created by
03:59the Tozo community you could also go into my EQ so these are the two that I've you know created
04:04you could also go into my EQ so these are the two that I've you know kind of downloaded and
04:08I've been using and I really like them more than the default ones and you can also take a look at
04:13any custom EQs that you've created but that's really about it for the options in here and
04:17you'll notice that there's no active noise cancellation options and there's no game mode
04:21option even though there is a game mode on these headphones you can activate it by just you know
04:27double tapping the power button to activate it but in the app it's actually not there now if you go
04:32into the settings it shows if there's any type of updates available for the headphones and we
04:36are on the current version let's take a look at the touch control so right now I have music playing
04:40if I press once on the power button you can see it's just going to pause that music playback and
04:45another power button press is going to resume playback now if I double tap it's going to put
04:50it into game mode on or game mode off and of course you could press and up on the power button
04:56to increase the volume or press down to lower the volume the other thing you could do is you could
05:00just press and hold on the forward button to advance the track or press and hold on the minus
05:06button to go back to the previous track so that's all fairly standard pressing the EQ button cycles
05:12through the standard EQ a clear treble EQ and a deep bass EQ but I haven't found a way to actually
05:19map the exact type of EQs that you want say I wanted to go to you know standard classical
05:25and jazz I haven't seen a way to actually map that to the EQ button let's talk about the sound
05:30that you can expect from the HA1 so the very first time I put this on and I started listening to
05:34music I could tell that this was tuned heavily towards bass performance and they mentioned that
05:40with their Auri X 2.0 technology so even though there's a ton of presets to choose from in the
05:45Tozo app I still noticed that bass remained pretty much dominant all the way through and in a lot of
05:51cases that led to you know kind of underperforming you know mids and highs so vocals would come
05:57through a little bit muddy for my taste now you can kind of offset it so that the treble or vocals
06:03sound a little bit better by switching to one of the different EQs in the Tozo app or you could
06:08look at the community EQs of which there's a bunch of them and I actually tried some and they're
06:13pretty decent but overall this is just tuned you know more heavily for bass users or people who
06:19appreciate bass music so if you really like a balanced type of sound you're not going to get it
06:24with the HA1 and don't get me wrong when I was younger I really loved you know headphones that
06:29just had a ton of bass and that's what these deliver on so if you're a fan of you know
06:34just kind of resonant bass with a prolonged bass decay this is actually going to deliver quite well
06:39on that and I did listen to music that would you know kind of highlight or take advantage of that
06:43and yeah it sounds good you get a you know good bass thump deep bass but again it's not going to
06:47be as tight and clean in delivery as you know better tuned or higher end offerings especially
06:52for the price that these cost. Let's do a sound leak demo so it's pretty much sealed all the way
06:57around on the mannequin head top bottom left and right as much as I can get it so right now the
07:03volume is at around 50 percent and I can't hear anything and I'm in a very quiet room
07:10I'm going to put this up to about 80 percent
07:12and the microphone is about 10 inches away
07:16and I could hear a little bit of music now I'll put it to 100 percent
07:23and I could hear
07:27at 100 percent I could hear the music a little bit clearer again I'm in a dead quiet room
07:32so if you're on a bus in a coffee shop and people are you know a good two to three feet or more
07:37good two to three feet or more away from you I doubt they'll be able to hear much at all
07:42this is only going to be an issue if you're in a library and you're listening at max volume
07:45but if you're at around 50 to 60 there shouldn't be any noticeable sound leakage. Here's an example
07:51of what microphone audio sounds like coming from the Tozo HA1 wireless headphones if you plan to
07:56use these for any type of calls or meetings. I'm now playing a little bit of simulated background
08:01noise on my phone and it's pretty close to the Tozo's microphone so here's what it would sound
08:05like if you were making a call or talking to someone in a somewhat noisy environment
08:15if you're ever going to use these for gaming and you want the lowest latency possible it's
08:19going to be better to use these in wired mode these are also super comfortable even if you
08:22wear glasses most of the day like I do and once you adjust the headband you know you don't feel
08:26like a ton of clamping pressure but it still feels nice and secure on here now these are rated for
08:31up to 70 hours of battery life and that thanks in part to the 400 milliamp hour battery on here
08:37now I haven't used these continuously for 70 hours yet but because there's no active
08:42noise cancellation on there it seems pretty reasonable that these can last close to that
08:46long. I mentioned that there's a potential deal breaker with the Tozo HA1's and that is that
08:51there's no active noise cancellation or transparency mode on here so if you're looking for a budget
08:56pair of headphones the Tozo HA1 is a pretty good option especially if you could get these on sale
09:01get multi-point functionality which is not always available on headphones at this price along with
09:06that impressive up to 70 hours of playtime the music also sounds pretty good if you're more into
09:11bass heavy type of sound and you also have the option to use it in wired mode with the 3.5
09:17millimeter audio jack so if you're interested in picking up the Tozo HA1 bluetooth wireless
09:22headphones I'm going to leave some links down below for you to check it out or to learn more
