A trio of immigrant sisters were brought to tears when they were surprised by their sibling and father, who two had not seen since leaving Mexico more than 25 years ago. Siblings Angelica Suarez, 46, and her sister Veronica, 50, migrated to the United States in their early 20s, and due to their immigration status, they had not been able to return home since. The pair were later joined in Chicago, Illinois, by their sister, Adriana, 36, which left their sibling, Norma, 48, and father Moises, 77, being the only family members who still lived in their hometown, in Ciudad Hidalgo, Mexico. The decades-long separation was extremely tough on the sisters, Angelica's daughter, Yesenia, 29, said. That hurt only increased when their mother, Angela, passed away in 2023, leaving the three sisters based in Chicago with "broken hearts" at not being able to return home. With Norma being the sole carer for Moises, Yesenia knew her aunt could not travel alone – so she started looking into ways that she and Moises could travel to the United States together. Having worked on obtaining the correct visas, Yesenia then planned a big surprise with her aunt and grandfather, which they decided would take place in Angelica's home on September 11. Yesenia's sister, Vanessa, waited inside the home with her camera rolling, capturing her mom's reaction as she fell to her knees in shock as she laid eyes on her father for the first time in more than a quarter of a century. The three sisters were then encouraged to head over to their dad and sibling to give them a tear-filled hug – a moment that Yesenia later shared on her TikTok page.
