00:00How do you think my viewers should feel this morning about the suggestions that the chief of

00:05staff, former chief of staff from Downing Street, directly intervened to make sure that Taylor

00:10Swift had blue light motorcade taking her to a concert? Well as I understand it that was an

00:17operational decision by the Met Police in terms of what happened there. Obviously with a major

00:23event there are going to be conversations with the government but that decision ultimately was

00:28won for the police. The suggestion in this morning's newspapers is that the police were

00:33lent on by Sue Gray and or people in Downing Street in order to make sure that this would

00:38happen having originally said no she can't have it. Well I'm not aware of what individual

00:43conversations... Does that pass the sniff test for you? Well I don't know what conversations

00:47took place and you know there's a lot of speculation in the papers about a lot of things

00:51but what I know from the Met Police is that they're very clear this was an operational

00:55decision and that obviously the government will be involved in conversations about major

00:59events taking place in the capital but ultimately that's an operational decision for the police.
