Herbig-Haro objects (commonly known as HH objects) are nebulae associated with newly formed stars. These nebulae have a very short lifespan, on the order of a few thousand years, and form through the interaction between the gas expelled by the central star and clouds of gaseous material and interstellar dust, colliding at speeds of several kilometers per second, ionizing the gas.
