I recently gifted my girlfriend a stunning Lamborghini, but it’s unfortunately become undriveable! Whether it’s a mechanical issue, a flat tire, or something else, we’re in a bit of a bind. Hoping to get it back on the road soon! Anyone have tips for troubleshooting or recommendations for a reliable mechanic?

00:00We're back on the second channel and it is very very wet here in England
00:06But I've just purchased a car in the US
00:10Which we will be heading to once we get a lot of the stuff finished off here in the UK
00:15I don't want to leave things unfinished over here because it'd be on my mind and first thing is the GTR
00:20How do you open the boot on this there?
00:23There we go the GTR. It looks quite cool in silver
00:28But this car will be changing color, it looks quite cool in in gray and
00:37Personality I want it to have so that is gonna be changing today
00:40And then also we've got a lot of stuff to do on the Eurus as well
00:44we've got a few things to finish off before we actually head over to America and we've got a reveal a build here, which
00:51We're gonna you're gonna see on next week's video
00:54Special build and literally like I managed to get it at auction for really really cheap and I thought I can't let it go
01:00It is a fair bit of repairing. So first thing to get the GTR to the unit
01:04What is this weather and now we're at the unit GTR is in and Kian is here ready to wrap it
01:11So we've not actually revealed the color just yet. I think the guys are just gonna reveal it as we're going on
01:16We've got some stuff to do a brand
01:20Which you're gonna see next week, but first things first, they're gonna start stripping this car down and then they can wrap it
01:25So we're gonna take it over to Toba and Kian and the guys because they're gonna start taking over it by themselves
01:30I'm a dad. He's gonna be just stripping as well. So let's
01:33Get wrapping this and we're gonna head out when it come back. It'll be a different color. I'm looking forward to seeing it
01:38Yeah, I think we good cuz I think at the minute it's like a bit like there's no personality to it

01:53Here's one box we're using a noses heck, I think I say pronounce it or probably
02:01But fitted all that body kit to it is all bonded to the car to wrap it
02:06We'd have to take it all back off again, which would have not been fun
02:09And also I quite liked it gray. Where's the GT? I think should be a bit loud
02:14Whoa, look at that controversial British racing green on a Japanese car

02:25Silver wheels. I think it's gonna work. It's gonna set the wheels off. No circuit. It's gonna look classy. It will in a GT
02:32So Kian is here from Keezy customs to start wrapping the Nissan GTR
02:36We actually originally ordered this wrap for the Euros and these guys were going to come down to wrap the Euros
02:41But of course we changed her mind first thing they're gonna do is the bonnet and they're using this a nose attack wrap
02:47Which is actually quite difficult to use. It's really thick. What do you think?

02:55Green most crashed car color now, I've wrapped loads of cars in the past and it takes loads of patience
03:01So I'm glad that I'm not doing this one
03:04Once I've got the bonnet on they can start trimming it which is the vital parts of making the wrap look really clean almost like
03:10Paint once I've got the bonnet done then they move on to the rear quarter
03:23A lot of the car needs to be stripped apart to be able to wrap it so you can hide the wrap in some of the
03:28Places where you can't see to give it that paint light look
03:31So whilst the guys are doing the quarter my dad's starting to strip the rest of the car apart
03:40And
03:43Now with the bumper off and the wing off the guys can start doing the boot lid
04:00We found that under the passenger footwell here under the carpet
04:05There's a little tool compartment pull that up and there's a key for a boot release. Yeah, we'll see if it works
04:21Now the guys have been smashing out this car and actually wrapped it so quick
04:25And it wasn't long till I got back from filming being on five minutes
04:35It oh my god, that is sick, which make it a killer

04:53Good with those wheels it looks unreal. What do you not like it? I like the color. That's a color one
04:58But I can't imagine what's gonna like done yet still two wings bumper and a bumper job done now
05:03The lads have left some of the difficult parts to last when normally I prefer to do them first
05:08But these guys are the professionals I managed to smash out the front bumper in no time
05:20All right, so vinyl just turned up for the roof didn't want it to be in green so it's gone with black
05:24So we're doing the roof in gloss black
05:26I think by going with a black roof
05:28It really breaks up the color difference between all the panels and whilst the guys were wrapping the black roof
05:33Kian had an idea. All right. So after looking at the car now, I think we've all agreed that it needs a sunstrip
05:39So we're gonna put a sunstrip on if he likes it, he likes it. If he doesn't you can just take it off
05:46So without my permission these guys started fitting a sunstrip and I guess you might find sunstrips on race cars
05:53And let's say this GTR is a bit of a race car. So it might work then finally they're onto the rear bumper
06:04Just some final bits now just to trim up and then they've got to go around and post heat the whole car
06:09So the rear bumper is done. It's ready for Tony to fit it back up now
06:13We're just jumping onto the spoiler one of the last pieces we got to do and that is the whole car wrapped in no time

06:24The guys have wrapped all the different panels of the car. We've still got a few little bits to do
06:29What have we got left roof trims bumper rear wing, which I think looks meant to be fair
06:35But the job they've done is really good

06:46So this seal here isn't quite sitting nice with the roof and

06:55Nothing to do with the fact that this whole rear quarter has been replaced
06:59So we just have to get this seal into the body panel just to make sure it's all nice and tight

09:53I put them over there because these are gray as well their body color
09:58So I think I'm gonna paint them black cuz it's gonna be a bit difficult to wrap and also
10:02Inside here. These are gonna go black to match the mirrors
10:06But I do think it looks really I think maybe bronze wheels would have looked even cooler
10:11But I don't hate the silver wheels didn't look pretty good. I'm still unsure about all the chrome bits. Maybe I leave them
10:16I'm not sure chrome back there. And then also it's got like the chrome trim around there. I think maybe I leave them
10:22I do like it though
10:23But for now, I'm just gonna start painting this stuff and then I'll wrap the front grill and we sort of get the finished product
10:28First step. I'm just going to roughen up the surface

10:34Material it's quite a nice surface to paint on. I don't want to ruin it. I don't want to get it too coarse
10:39So just gonna roughen it up like this a lot
10:42So you get that nice hazy effect should help the paint stick gonna do this to all the gray bits
10:47I'm least worried about this bit more worried about wrapping that big bit there and some people are why don't you paint it?
10:53well, this bit gets peppered with stone chips and
10:57When it's black, it's gonna really show up the stone chip
10:59So I think the wrap because it's sticker it should actually protect it a bit better
11:04We're gonna attempt that in a minute
11:05Once I've got the first layer of paint on these once I do this clean them up give them a little rattle can
11:10so the paint I'm using is
11:13Autotec professional from the professional place three grand a bottle this I think it's oh, that's quite cheap that really
11:20Yeah, it's really cheap like they paint Audis and Lamborghinis and Porsches in this paint
11:25And you know, it's good because it says body shop body shop body shop on the bottom
11:31Light layer. Oh, yeah, that's just look at that even layer there go on this one
11:39Nice even coat they're just looking for full coverage get that really like mirror finish

11:47The first coat yeah, yeah the first coat is it looking good? Yeah, it's looking good on the camera
11:51I mean, I like it. I you've let the first second and third coats dry before no, this is just the first coat

25:02So what we've done we've got our Italian piece of cotton string
25:07You can see it's the Italian colors the way to do this
25:09It's back in the old school days you get your ruler you go to the center of the wheel
25:14And I'm measuring here to seven inches because I'm doing inches because it's not an exact size
25:20And then we're gonna go all the way down. Make sure the string is also at
25:25Seven inches so now I know that this string is directly
25:29It's the same distance from the wheel on each side so now what I'll do
25:33Measure it from this part of the wheel to the string which is what we're saying four and a half inch
25:40No, all right for some more eyes are not good
25:42And you've got your glasses on four seven five four seven five was you say that's bang on that's the same
25:47That's straight wheel then that's straight. It did look straight in it look straight now
25:52The steering wheel straight and that wheel is pointing in a straight line now

25:58Anyway, if you're racing driver, but we just want to get it straight to the steering wheel straight so outside spine good start
26:04It's good start at the minute the steering wheel is to my right hand side and when I put it straight
26:09The car wants to go to the left so we're thinking that that right wheel is gonna be pointing to the left hand side
26:16Let's set this Italian flag up on the other side. This is the wheel
26:20Was definitely straight so this wheel we're gonna say there's gonna be a bigger measurement of the front and if it isn't we've done some
26:27Drastically wrong because this veers to the left horribly. Yeah, the whole car must be bent if this

26:40So we've got to bring this part of the wheel that way and we can have a happy medium there because this side is
26:46Got a much bigger gap to that side. So the wheel is going that way
26:50So that means we need to adjust the tie rod that way what I'm gonna do
26:55I'm gonna raise it up on hook it and then I would adjust I'll be able to adjust it on the floor rather than trying
27:00To crank it off on the on the floor
27:02So we'd raise it up loosen it off and then we'll mess around with it
27:05So this tire rod is on the front of the car on this one
27:09So we need to push the wheel that way so we need to undo the locking up
27:16And then we need to extend that way out by a fair bit this has got to go that way
27:22So this gap here that gap between that locking nut and there has got to extend. So we're gonna go back off inch
27:28Yeah, I'd say like start with a good off inch like outwards. Yeah, okay
27:33So this is now pushing the wheel out
27:36That's quite a lot. That's no way

27:49Yeah, well, it was out by a lot did not see what was doing when you were driving. It was really bad

30:25Unless we measured the wheels wrong back to the drawing board our Italian
30:30Tracking it work, but the weird thing is and met it measured fine. We drove out but look at the wheel now
30:37That this one is all the way in and this one is going this way
30:43It's coming towards me. So I think we've got to not put it in the ramp. That's what threw it off
30:48I think we've got to adjust it all here now. That's a better idea
30:51I think what I'm gonna do is adjust it now then we measure it because we can already see this is so far

34:01So somebody has aligned this and done it to parallel spec

34:11We align that so did we do a good job you've done pretty well on the back to say that string you've done

34:26We seem to be missing quite a lot of caster on the front left
34:30What's caster caster is the angle that the damper sort of sits back?
34:33So the front axle the front right looks to be about right
34:37Even though even though there isn't a caster spec on the system from Lamborghini
34:40We've got four and a half degrees of cast on that side and we've got one degree this side that would say to me

35:57It doesn't like that front sensor and it's because those sensors are so expensive
36:01Stop people from stealing them from one car to another they're locked to the VIN number of that car
36:05So you can't just take one off one car and if it's registered as stolen put it on this one
36:09Then that one's locked so you can't use it to stop people stealing stuff
36:13So we bought out to buy a new one from lamborghini power adjustable steering could be a problem
36:19So we bought out to buy a new one from lamborghini power adjustable steering control module no basic setting so that'll need like
36:26Calibrating automatic high beam assist again. That's because of the camera on the front
36:31I think a lot of these issues can be fixed quite easily and I think I have the things to do that
36:36I think because these are unplugged nothing works in the front bumper. It's like connecting a full circuit
36:41I'm going to try and do this here so we don't have to put it in the ramp
36:44But as we found without is there's no shortcut so it could go wrong we're doing what my dad normally does

41:03Most of those electrical faults that we had actually resort back to the one electrical thing on this car
41:10Which is electrical the battery is the cause of all issues and right now the battery has well and truly decided
41:16You know what? I'm giving up. Let's start from here right now. The car in this situation is dead

41:24I've got the key
41:28Can't unlock it can't open it can't do anything so our only way to get in
41:34Is to do this pop the key open
41:37Put your key into this bottom slot here pop off the cap, which my dad lost

41:42Slide in the key into the emergency bit
41:46And then we can get in battery for this car is here like a transit van
41:52So lamborghini thought it was really really really really clever
41:57To now update their batteries. So the batteries are lithium-ion
42:01Batteries are lithium-ion batteries. These batteries are meant to provide more power
42:07They're meant to last longer as well when they have a special technology in them like a computer
42:12Which actually if they get below a certain voltage, they just switch themselves off to save them
42:16like draining to absolute zero and right now
42:210.3 volts
42:23Which is neither good
42:26For anything it won't start the car when I lock the car can't do anything inside. It doesn't it doesn't do anything
42:31Now if we jump start the car because the car still doesn't have any power nothing
42:36Electronical really works. It shows a lot of faults on the car and everything like that
42:39It's a big issue, but because these batteries are so good according to
42:44Audi and lamborghini, they didn't make many of them because you don't need to replace them like your old lead acid batteries

42:52They're hard to get hold of and it seems after this issue with our battery that we've had

43:15And they also have the same problem leaving it at an airport and it goes completely flat

43:24So when you order one from lamborghini from porsche from audi all the same battery
43:28They'll tell you that there's a one month to two month wait
43:31For that battery because so many people want them and they didn't make many of them because they're so good
43:37Now I can't just go and buy a battery off ebay for this car and put it on because it won't work
43:42It's got that special computer in it. It needs to be a legitimate
43:45Lamborghini battery or audi battery with that part number for it to work
43:49I've tried to charge this battery and bring it back to life. It won't work
43:52I've heard of other stories where people have stripped the battery apart changed the module in it tried to
43:57Get it going again
43:59Again, it's all expensive and to top all of that. The battery is
44:031,500 pounds from lamborghini with that two month wait involved as well
44:08So right now we try to fix yours. We've actually gone backwards
44:12We still need that lower arm, which is coming. We can replace that easy enough done, but all the electrical faults are
44:18Are from the source the battery and you're telling me
44:22they want all cars to be
44:24Battery powered electrical powered by 2030 and they can't even get a battery which works on a combustion

44:39So we're actually stuck right now
44:41And poor hannah's just had a car for a week and now it could be off the road for two months until we get a battery
