00:00Could you introduce yourselves and tell us what's going on here? Sure, I'm Elliot and this is I'm
00:04Phil and we are Portcullis Brewing Company. And what have we got behind you all this interesting
00:09kit there? So these these here are our fermenters, we've had this one literally just arrived in the
00:14country from China on Friday and it's why it's sticking out so far. Yeah we've still got things
00:20to do to that, there's still lots of things to do around the brewery at the moment. And what we've
00:23got here is an entire brewery setup that you guys have put together right? Yeah. And as we come down
00:28here what are we looking at there? So this is the hot side brew kit, this is where we create our wort
00:33on a brew day, this is where we mash all our grains to get our sugars and this is the boil kettle
00:38where we mix it with hops to get your bitterness and your hop flavour and then you transfer that
00:45wort into one of these fermenters, chuck your yeast in and then it creates beer which is ready to drink.
00:51And fantastic, and what are we looking at down here? This is one of the finished products? Yeah so
00:54this is one of our casts, this is full of our first batch called Cam's Roadworks Pale Ale, 4.2%
01:00and these are our last two casts of the batch, we had nine of them and it's gone out.
01:09And what the most amazing part of this whole operation is, it's all in a shipping container
01:14in the back premises of your pub which is, what's the name of your pub?
01:17Collestack House in Portchester. And so all of this, so you had a guy deliver this container,
01:24installed it and now you've got an up and running brewery in your car park there? That's it,
01:28that's it, exactly that. Fantastic and so this one in the vat that we just saw, what's the name of
01:33that beer again? That's Cam's Roadworks, we named it after a controversial local road development
01:40that's been going on for the last year, it's spoken about pretty much daily on the local
01:46Facebook community pages and we saw it as a little marketing opportunity for us to be able
01:55to sort of advertise our first beer. So the beer that we've made we'll probably actually make again
02:01but we'll rename it, the beer's gone down really well with everyone but Cam's Roadworks seemed a
02:07fitting title for the first one, it's almost like a little bit of satire towards the development.
02:16Fantastic, so you've not been going long but you've already appeared at the Wickham Beer
02:19Festival to a great reception, best of luck for the future guys, it sounds amazing. Thank you very much.
