00:00This was the scene near the Northern General Hospital in Sheffield this

00:05afternoon after a serious crash. Several police cars were on the scene as well as

00:12a team of traffic officers investigating a collision which happened early this

00:15afternoon. Two cars could be seen to have been seriously damaged in the incident

00:20which happened close to the junction of Herries Road and Barnsley Road near

00:25Firth Park and just outside the entrance to the hospital which also

00:30contains Sheffield's main A&E department. The roads were closed for a period of

00:36time while police and ambulance crews dealt with the situation. South Yorkshire

00:42Police said in a statement at 2.48 p.m. today Sunday the 13th of October we were

00:49informed by the ambulance service of a road traffic collision at the junction

00:53of Barnsley Road and Herries Road in Sheffield. They said that the road was

00:58closed for a period of time but the road has now reopened.
