00:00Hey guys, in this video I will show you how to turn on or off data saver on a Samsung
00:06Galaxy S24 Ultra.
00:09So let's start.
00:10So just swipe down from the top and then tap on settings and then tap on connections and
00:17then scroll down to data usage and then tap on it and then tap on data saver.
00:23You can see it's now opened.
00:25So here we have this message.
00:26Let's read it.
00:28Data saver helps cut down your data usage by preventing apps from using data in the
00:33background.
00:34While turned on, the data saver icon and this icon, so it's the triangle with up and down
00:40arrow will be shown in the status bar.
00:42So here we have this option turn on now.
00:46So just tap on this toggle button to turn on data saver or tap on it to turn off data
00:51saver.
00:52So I would like to turn it on.
00:54And if I go to my status bar, you can see the data saver icon not showing.
00:59So when you swipe once and you go to the status bar, you can see the data saver icon is showing.
01:06So let me go back.
01:07And also guys, if you tap on apps that can always use data, this option, the apps you
01:13select below can always use data in the background even if data saver is on.
01:19So just tap on three vertical dots at the top right and then tap on show allowed apps
01:24first.
01:26So I have these apps using data in the background even my data saver is turned on.
01:32So if I don't want, I can simply turn them off.
01:36So let's say if you have an important app that you want it to use data in the background
01:41even when data saver is turned on.
01:44So you can simply go to that.
01:46So let's say for example, in my case, Gmail, you can simply turn it on.
01:50So now my Gmail app will use data in the background even my data saver is turned on.
