King arrives in Brunei for three-day state visit

00:10His Majesty and Her Majesty, Raja Zarith Sophia, Queen of Malaysia, accompanied by Tunku Temenggong
00:17Johor, Tunku Idris Iskandar Sultan Ibrahim, arrived aboard a special aircraft at 11.25
00:23a.m. at Brunei International Airport.
00:27Crown Prince of Brunei, Pngiran Muda Mahkota Al-Muhtadi Bila Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah, and
00:33his wife, Pngiran Ana Istri.
00:34Pngiran Ana Sara, along with other dignitaries, received Their Majesties.
00:40Accompanying the King on this visit are Higher Education Minister Datuk Shri Dr Zambri Abdul
00:45Qadir, Ministry of Foreign Affairs Secretary-General Datuk Shri Amran Mohamed Zind, along with
00:52senior officials from Istana Negara, ministries, and relevant agencies.
00:57Upon arrival, His Majesty inspected a guard of honour by the Royal Brunei Armed Forces
01:03before proceeding to the hotel in Bandar Sri Begawan, where Their Majesties will be staying.
01:09This visit, Sultan Ibrahim's first to Brunei since ascending the throne on January 31,
01:15comes at the invitation of Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah.
01:19It also coincides with the 40th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Malaysia and
01:24Brunei, highlighting the opportunity to further strengthen the close and special relationship
01:29between the two nations, underpinned by shared Malay sultanate heritage, religion, culture
01:34and family ties.
