00:00hello and welcome to the Rose Bowl in Southampton for the second semi-final
00:04between West Indies and Pakistan it's a chilly morning here at Southampton and
00:10it was Pakistan that won the toss and they decided to bat first the pitch had
00:17quite a bit of grass on it there were some dry patches as well that's probably
00:21what prompted the decision by Inzamam to bat first because he reckoned the ball
00:25will turn later but there was absolutely no doubt in anyone's mind that there
00:29would be plenty of movement early on the West Indies stream fresh from their
00:33win against the South Africans playing pretty much the same side very strong
00:38batting lineup plenty of depth in the batting as well and then lower down the
00:41order if you see they've got the the bowlers Ian Bradshaw and Corey Colomo
00:46Pakistan on the other hand Salman Butt playing his first one-day international
00:50he replaces Imran Farhat but otherwise if you look at their side pretty much
00:55the same side that beat India very strong bowling attack as well
00:58Naveedul Hassan, Mohammad Sami and of course Shoaib Akhtar
